Maybe the original dealer was in Portland.

~ I passed on a new car sitting on the showroom floor with only 25 miles.Port/dealer repairs sold as new with no history is fairly common on new cars.
This is why I never trust the dealer and check the car with my own eyes prior to delivery.
that’s some high tech shit!! Hell yes!~ I passed on a new car sitting on the showroom floor with only 25 miles.
I use a paint gauge on all of my cars before buying. Most Supra panels read 5-6 mils and the rear quarter panel was reading 10 mils. Clearly a respray.
After pulling back some of the trim... the tail tail signs were there. Tape line and remnants of compound.
I truly believe the dealer had no clue (most likely a port repair if I had to guess). The repair and finish looked near perfect.

Same here. I paint gauge before buying anything. New or used. That a CM206FN?~ I passed on a new car sitting on the showroom floor with only 25 miles.

~ Yes ... here’s a link to one.That a CM206FN?
A friend is a Paint-less Dent Removal guy. He has accounts at new and used dealers. The number of of new cars that have previous paintwork would surprise most people. Paint gauges have gotten cheaper and better. No reason for a car enthusiast not to own one today. A paint gauge is the best $100 anyone can spend if they buy cars.~ Yes ... here’s a link to one.
For $100 or so... they are a great tool to have.

LOL I remember arriving at the dealership and the salesman telling me about you doing this. ???. Smart man....I use a paint gauge on all of my cars before buying...
~ Yes 1st Tungsten Silver one was a local car with paintwork. ? Noted.LOL I remember arriving at the dealership and the salesman telling me about you doing this. ???. Smart man.
I wish I did that, now I need to respray a bumper before PPF, and only 3 months of owning it SMH. how long did that take to do, 2-4 hours is my guess~ Yes 1st Tungsten Silver one was a local car with paintwork. ? Noted.
Hence the reason I had to drive 60 miles to the closet dealer for a flawless Tungsten example in Beavercreek, Ohio... where you bought your A91. ?
The craziest thing was the blue painters tape treatment given prior to 1.5 hour drive the car home to assure a chip free return ... until I could apply the clear bra / ppf.
Yeah I have issues. ???

I am surprised you didn’t get pulled over for headlight/turn signal violation. Lol instead of using the blue tape, you could of use the collision tape that’s is 100x faster. It comes in bigger sheets and is clear. Blue tape is good for taping just the front bumper or etc.~ Yes 1st Tungsten Silver one was a local car with paintwork. ? Noted.
