Better late than never. And never is a car that doesn't live up to expectations.

The global exposure has set the bar high for Toyota and forsure sounds like they are taking the time to reach it.

I rather this than a rushed car with no manual gearbox. :)

We all want to know, but based on what has been posted recently if they are still doing alot of testing and deciding on different things maybe they cant give us a firm date yet...hard to be patient as so excited...

toyota said production debut would "most likely" take place at detroit. one journalist kinda let loose that they'd have a chance to drive the car summer next year. should be available for order after detroit with first deliveries when the journos get their hands on them.

usually with a year left of development they say there's only that 5% of chassis tuning to be nailed down.

i surely hope this thing has more than 6 colors and 2 of them black, 1 silver and 1 grey. hate that about new cars.

Interesting Tada stated there is room for a V8... we know the street car wont have one but still interesting from a design point of view...
i could see it happening. LC 500 will probably keep the V8 if only for halo status. it's shorter in length and i can't imagine it being appreciably taller. only issue would be width. i think the airflow requirements for sustained turbo cooling may provide that room.

the new supra is supposed to a sports car in vain of a 911 in which whichever model you choose it's track capable. doesn't matter is you choose a carrera 2, GTS targa, turbo s cabrio, or gt2 RS. each will survive a 30 min stint on track.

if so i think they'll offer a model strategy the same with each just corresponding with increased track capability. therefore they could off a GT3 RS or jaguar project 8 type car with a pedestal wing and all. kinda alines with branding the car gazoo racing separated from toyota and lexus. skunkwerks project kinda. would be cool i think.

That is the problem with me news. Black, white, silver, grey, a shitty red and a dark blue. This car needs a bold color like yellow, orange (not pearl burnt orange) or green. I’d be all over a laguna seca blue but that’s BMW and they won’t share

Toyota being dangerously ambiguous here... Maybe there is something to take away from this, maybe there is nothing to take away from this and we all have to get used to the idea of an automatic w/paddle shifters. What do you think @A70TTR ??? Any thoughts on this one?

I would love a broader spectrum of color options, but I recently read a stat somewhere saying that 75% of car sales have been white/black/some form of gray or silver over the past 5 years. Unfortunately, accountants are involved in business decisions, so if there isn't enough demand we can probably expect that there won't be much supply :(.

I'd be with you on that Laguna Seca Blue though, I really love that one and Le Mans blue. Make it happen Toyota!
