A/C vent bracket fell, help!?!

While cleaning today I noticed that the bracket holding a part of the vent assembly fell off and I herd it when it fell. I can’t reach it since it went down a small hole and the only way of getting this part out is by taking it to the dealer and have them tear everything apart. Heck no am I doing that! I want to see if I can just buy the small metal part and install it myself which I know it isn’t very hard since you can see where it go’s on. I need y’all’s help since I can’t seem to find the part online anywhere. If you know or can help me find the part number that would be much appreciated! Here’s a picture of the part on the other side and you’ll see I don’t have it on the side it fell. Thanks for your help!

That’s definitely a warranty claim… any good dealer will make the necessary repair free of charge…

It’s a workmanship warranty item…

The small part is probably available only if you buy the whole vent assembly…

I know it would be covered but I really rather them not open everything up and then mess something else up you know.

So, it's in the duct? It may rattle. Clog things.. Depending on weight, on full blast, maybe it can come out? Doubtful, but worth a shot.

I like to know how in the world did that piece just break off? Is it cheaply made or assembled?

Did you hang a phone holder from there?

Maybe a coated wire with a piece of double sided 3M tape can get it out?

Went in the duct into a small hole and looks like it’s gone. No rattles or issues.

No phone holder, I place my phone in the tray area for the wireless charging.

Do a test run with a pipe cleaner, and fish it around. If you can hear it move around, then attach a small rolled up ball of gorilla tape to the end of the pipe cleaner (bend the pipe cleaner in the proper shape). Also have needle nose pliers ready to grab the piece when you pull it up with the tape ball.

If you can hear it move around, then attach a small rolled up ball of gorilla tape to the end of the pipe cleaner (bend the pipe cleaner in the proper shape). Also have needle nose pliers ready to grab the piece when you pull it up with the tape ball.

Where it fell was a small opening not into the entire air vent. I’ll take a pic tomorrow.

Was this fixed at dealership after you got the piece out? Mine fell out but I was able to recover it. I couldn’t find any video for putting it back and wonder if only option is the dealership? Is it something that can be put back easily or need to take off trimming around the vents to put it back

Would appreciate if anyone can explain with pictures or videos how to put the metal piece back on the vent
