New here, and not sure how to explain this, but I bought my 2021 Supra at the beginning of this year and only have 4K miles now. I’m running LED under glow strips for it and it’s connected directly to the battery under the hood. I’m assuming my battery died from them running constantly, but now I can’t unlock my car with the key fob and get access to inside of my car. Not sure why and how that’s possible, so now I can get to the hood latch to jumpstart my car or do anything to it. Anybody know what this could be or if there’s a way to get into the car without the wireless key and maybe with the insert key?

There is nothing wrong with the car/battery. It's just embarrassed and doesn't want to go out in public.

There's a manual key slot on the door handle. It's covered by a small plastic cap that can be pushed out from the backside of the handle. You'll find the physical key in your key fob. Push the button on the edge, and it pulls out.

Thanks that worked ??

If you run your battery dry, I have heard you need to buy a new one and have the car programmed. Anyone know about this?

Luckily mine didn’t get to that point, but I did here about that as well. Just saw a video on it. Time 20:30 is when he talks about it.

Had to have mine replaced. It was drained from sitting in the showroom and not properly turned off (hold down the radio button for 2 seconds to shut the screen off and then lock the car, which shuts down everything completely).

The dealership will have to test it first, which takes 1-2 hours. From my visit, Toyota then asked the tech to retest again, so I got a rental at that point! Same results where it wasn't at the minimum numbers after a full charge, so a new battery had to be ordered and then it has to be registered. Free of course with it being brand new, but the battery itself was over $400 and if you had to pay for the hours of testing and registration needed, that would be an ugly bill.

I now always turn my screen off and lock the doors, even when it's in our garage. So far so good ;b
