Whether due to "teething problems" with changes to MY21 or simple luck of the draw on the assembly line... the fact that I've put 20K completely trouble-free miles on my MY20 (and been able to actually drive it for an additional year) means no regrets whatsoever. I'll take that any day over a chance of oil consumption issues and a locked DME.

Most of the differences between the two are only going to be noticed when driven back-to-back or on a track (or at least on completely deserted roads). I can't even open it up to it's full capabilities for more than a few seconds before being stuck behind a soccer mom in a van.

If they'd done a major upgrade in the interior on the other hand (iDrive 7/8, better seats, audio, etc.) then I would have a few regrets I imagine. ;) The aftermarket can easily solve everything else - and even some of those.
Exactly this. The 21 breathes better up topā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.which unless on a track is totally useless. As Digicidal said, after a few seconds of fun Iā€™m stuck usually behind some soccer Mom, traffic, etc. welcome to New England. :confused1:

I'm wondering if this should be titled, "Any 2021 Owners regretting their purchase?" after all the issues /w oil & ECU. :D

In my honest opinion, both are great models and shouldn't have any regret after buying any model year of supra. But if you do, I don't think it's MY specific and you should move onto next car.

None here. Downpipe and tuned 2020 on E30 made 471/553 dynojet. Factory unlocked ECU. 20 spools a stock turbine housing slightly quicker. HKS hipermax hybrid kit was designed for the 20 not the 21. Besides a 20 can run a 6 port head if you so desire and then have 11:1 compression.

The majority of people complapining either donā€™t own a 21 or donā€˜t read the owners manual. When people complain about having to add some oil at 5K miles when they have bolt ons and drive their car one quarter of a mile at a time I shake my head.
