Probably because you can finance the warranty along with the car. I'm not speaking about supra owners specifically, but generally. When most folks buy cars, they plan on owning them for a long time. Financing this is more stomachable to a lot of folks than dropping however much they cost when it's time you need one. For those who have to finance, this makes ~some amount of sense.~ still confused as to why one buys an extended warranty on a brand new car? major dealer up sale.
you have a factory warranty per the manufacture for 3yr / 36k basic and 5yr / 60k powertrain … but ppl have 2 warranties in place for the first 3 years?!? and many finance those extended warranties along with the car.
makes no sense to me personally. one’s paying for something they can’t even use for 3 years and with interest the majority of the time. ??
