How much did you pay to tint your windows?

I've owned quite a few cars over the years and it's been a few years since I've had to pay to install tint (they usually have tint installed by the previous owner), I think the most I paid was $325 to get my E46 tinted with Ceramic (all windows and windshield) but I was just quoted $450 for the supra.. sounds excessive IMO. Curious what others are paying.. not sure if location matters but I'm in the Dallas area.

OC, CA area and I paid the same, $450 for nano-ceramic plus additional $250 for front windshield. So $700 total. Quite the difference from 7 years ago when I had my wrx hatch tinted for $300 but I assume the material has improved since then. Quality of the install is definitely top notch tho.

Gone off that indo, GameCube Nintendo, 5% tint so you can’t see up in my window.

I paid $600 for 5% on everything and 50% windshield. 87% heat rejection IIRC, $450 is a great price.

Still Tippin’ I see!!! I love it lol. I’m in Ohio and I got 20% all around and 5% windshield strip, $300.
I also got those 4 things around the car tinted which was a extra $30. Sorry, can’t remember what they are called lol.

$400 for all the windows except windshield, using Llumar CTX ceramic film (I can't remember if it was 20 or 25%). My guy Carlos at Darkside Tinting in Bothell, WA did the work. HIs phone # is 206-399-0000. IMHO one of the best tint installers in the Greater Seattle-area. Anyone needing tint should hit him up. He's done most of my cars and relatives cars as well.

Here in Seattle, tint is expensive, and most of the reputable shops will charge in that $600 range for ceramic film.

$400 for my appointment to get autobahn ceramic i3 (https://autobahnwindowfilms.com/products/window-tint/). Did the research on other more popular brands and they seemed sus. That quote was sides and rear, I have no plan to do the windshield.

Installers here went up in price just this past year. Below is what I paid (just to let you know the % doesn't change the price, only the type of film does -- Dye, Carbon, Ceramic, Crystalline, Metalized, etc):

$400 for Formula 1 Pinnacle [Ceramic Film] (25%) for all side and rear windows
$200 for 3M Crystalline (60%) for windshield (the Formula 1 Stratos would have been the same cost, but they only had the 70 in stock) [though prior to the pandemic it use to be $150 ]

$400-600 is what you should expect to pay for quality Installation and Ceramic film on all windows except windshield (pricing varies by location).
$150-$200 is what you should expect for windshield

I drive through SC a few times a year, my next car I get i'll get my tint installed there haha.

As for pricing I should have added a disclaimer that's what the expected cost is here in NC (having installed dozens of cars from rural NC to city NC).
