Has anyone else observed harsh/jerky downshifting in their 3.0 Supra? I noticed it for 3 to 2, and can happen in normal or sport mode. But typically at low speeds like 13mph and below.

mine is a 2020 3.0 model, so it’s the lower power output engine variant.

I believe the transmission and mappings are the same for both the 3L and 2L.

I thought maybe the throttle contributes to it, but I’ve tried all types of scenarios. Letting it coast to a halt, relatively firm braking... it seems so random.

Same actually. Mine still does this rare in auto mode, but I feel like it's more 1st and 2nd. It definitely got better after a while to where I really notice it when it happens.

Assuming it's the same thing any way.

Kinda old thread but I searched this up after I noticed this too. Pretty much always happening when it autoshifts from 3rd to 2nd in low/creeping speeds. When in higher speeds, or when using the paddles, the shift feels normal.

I guess the only way to solve it is doing a transmission flash? It's not really bugging me too much, but just makes the car feels a little bit more jerky when you're in stop & go traffic.
