I hope the interior is representative of the original FT1 Slingshot Design. That was one of the more stronger design aspects of the car. Interior must be cockpit design and all the instrumentals focused on the driver. Also, NO cup holders!

A rendering of the interior.

If the interior looks like that, count me out. One of the things I loved about the MKIV Supra, was it’s simple yet high quality cockpit-like interior. That rendering looks way too much like a Camry’s interior.

Let's not push it loll. The quality on the interior of the MKIV was pretty meh at best. I have many cracked dash panels, broken oh-shit handles, and tons of rat-skin leather seats in my garage that can vouch for that. The design was great though! Cockpit all day!

Depending on how well it was maintained, a MKIV’s interior is very high quality. The soft touch buttons, “higher” quaity plastics, and overall design is....in my opinion...well above average for it’s time! I have a 1991 300ZX, and if you see the interior you will think the car was never driven (I can personally show you the car since your in Chicagoland) because it was well maintained and has a “higher” quality interior for its time. Any car you don’t treat well, won’t treat you well in return.

I feel like the Z32 interior was a higher quality than the MKIV. The cockpit feel is nice in the Supra, but I also feel like I'm surrounded by plastic. The Z gives you a lot more leather (or tweed) where the Supra is plastic.

Idk man, I've had plenty of pristine Supras in my time and they've all been a bit crap when it comes to interiors. The leather especially is extra yuck. That being said, the 90s was certainly a bad time for interiors lol. Only 90s car I ever liked was an LS400, and that isn't a fair comparison I suppose.

Maybe the nova suede and leather interiors that came on top trim 300ZX’s (so rare nowadays...damn craigslist), but tweed interiors aren’t all that. Sure there is more of it than plastic, but it has its ups and downs....keeping it clean is one of them. I just love how the Supra’s interiors feels like your stepping into a machine ready to do some serious business....no fancy shit. Everything centered around the driver, high quality materials, feels more like a Lexus than any Toyota of that era. Again, im only going based off great memories of clean asf Supra’s ive had the pleasure of driving in.

I would have preferred leather trim, but I had tweed trim with leather seats and loved it. Mine was exceptionally clean though, I've seen plenty where the tweed looks like dirty carpet.

Just thinking about it is making me want to go buy another one.

Z4 interior looks better.. lol the Toyota one.. is not bad but it’s boring. Wants to put you to sleep just by looking at it.

i completely doubt that the interior would be that pathetic. look at lexus and Toyota interiors lately . especially since that bmw looks so good.

considering Best Car called the production version & geneva concepts to a tee, there is a very good chance they are right again. Not to mention this render matches many aspects on what we saw in the original post in this thread.

Personally I have a hard time believing the Supra's interior will be drastically different than the Z4s especially since budgeting concerns seem to be all over the place..my bet is the Supra will unfortunately/fortunately just be littered with plastic compared to the Z4 which will get the more expensive looking cabin and Toyota will market it as a "sporty" "driver-centric" cabin free of "clutter"....aka cost cutting to make a bigger profit...would be silly for them to spend money on the interior when we don't even get a stick

Never underestimate Toyota in failing.. they do it in flying colors!! Come up with a stupid reasoning for not bringing what the market wants every time. But they can justify 8 SUVs in the line up. Sad
