Taking the wheel off does make it easier but you don't need to remove rear tires if you have a smaller ratchet set. I bought these off the recommendation of a youtube video installing them on a supra and it worked great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0062FSAVIDid you have to remove the rear tires to install the back guards?
