GT3 cars will soon replace GTE cars in Le Mans & WEC. With this announcement, Will TOYOTA Gazoo Racing also join and have factory-backed teams in the GT class other than the top tier Hyper Car class? It will be very much exciting to see if this is truly so. Fingers crossed ?

BRO this was my dream for literally forever. Toyota to have GT3 team in WEC to fight against the other OEMs and be an endurance racing juggernaut like Porsche.

Don't see how mazda would benefit there, since what they are still figuring out and patenting like crazy are drivetrain systems. But could be interesting.

This is getting unveiled tomorrow right? It's definitely a new platform. Nothing in any of the Mazda, Toyota, or Lexus line (other than the EV Sport model) even comes close to matching that silhouette. The only thing that even comes to mind that on the market right now with a bonnet that long is a Mercedes GT R.

The only GT3 race car that I can think off the top of my head without a production model would be the Ginetta G55. I don't think they ever had any road going versions of that car.

It would be a real knee slapper if this is a direct successor to the 2000GT.

Whatever it is, it better not have back seats. (Well I mean it's a GT3 race car so it won't... I'm talking about the production model)
