They don't do anything to stop the wind buffeting and you can get the same Chinese mirror caps on Ebay cheaper.

how difficult is it to swap these? do the oems just pop off from the front with a bit of prying with a trim tool (and a lot of hope nothing breaks) or do you have to take out the glass and and so on?

Super easy. Just be careful not to break the retention plastics..

Have something similar and also have the Rexpeed carbon fiber mirror plates. Zero wind buffeting of any kind, no matter what position both windows are in or at any speed.

Pull the mirrors it's better than breaking a bunch of clips and wrecking something.

MANY people have mounted these, and they fit fine. However, they will not correct the buffeting issue.

Just as dumb as fake vents.
