Hello, I’m taking delivery of my Supra in a couple weeks. I saw that Toyota offers PPF. I was wondering if anyone else got the Toyota PPF. I heard from someone that the material Toyota uses yellows over time. Just looking for feedback, thanks in advance.

It came on my car despite me not asking for it. Its not bad, better than nothing. But if you want real protection, theres a reason people pull it off and get a legit PPF installed.

As for the yellowing, i've heard of it happening on other cars, but haven't seen it yet on a Supra.

Mine had the partial hood piece on it when I bought at the dealer. I pulled it off and had the whole hood and bunch of other stuff done. The factory install was garbage. There were wrinkles in it. Save your money and have a professional do it.

Thanks to all the responses. I will not opt in the Toyota PPF.
If you need to drive far to get home from the dealer, I’d bring some painter’s blue tape and tape the bumper and side mirrors horizontally starting from the top and slightly overlap. This will help protect the paint.

Also avoiding expressways alone will help prevent most nicks… I usually drive 5 sec behind the car in front of me. No ppf, no chips.

Go Xpel, I'm on 3 years with their kit and it's held up amazing. Find a reputable installer.

~ I agree... xpel is the way to go.

Note: It’s ALL about the installer (not the xpel product)... always ask to see their prior work before selecting the business. All work is not created equal... It's a skilled trade.

He should do the bottom of the front fenders too - they just beg to get sandblasted.
