Mine arrived at the dealer today and………….I’m NOT picking up a new supra.
Slightly embarrassing but basically because I bought a house a few months ago my credit score has dropped off a cliff. I’d not even given it a thought as car finance is the one thing I have never ever struggled to get but the Toyota 0% got declined and the best they could come up with was 15.9% APR. Um thanks but no thanks.
So it’s a bitter sweet really. Bitter that all that new car excitement is postponed but a little sweet thinking I’ll order again in maybe 3 months when the score recovers and hopefully get a 2023 with some updates.
If the first you don’t succeed…..
If anyone wants an ice grey 3.0 supra brand new, pm me and I’ll refer you on to the garage!!
I guess I’ll be back in a few months 🙄
That's what I had on order mate can I give you my number to try and arrange it getting transferred to Steven Eagell for me?

Sad to hear mate but house has priority for sure. To be honest I’m surprised that Toyota required a second credit check. I bought a couple of BMW at very low rate and massive discount in the past and I only ever went through a credit check when ordering the car. I would be a little annoyed if they did the same to me as the first hard credit check Toyota did to me dipped my credit score slightly, of course now is all recovered but I like to keep my score at max as much as possible. I also heard that a higher deposit help especially when going for 0% finance deals. Anyway as you say you’ll probably be a supra owner soon and maybe this time will be a manual 😉.

PS: new supra prices have gone up by around 3k might be worth running quotes periodically for best prices.

Can they not hold it for you whilst you sort your credit score? Afterall you've paid a deposit I assume?

I'm gutted for you mate 😢

Sorry to hear that but houses are more important than cars. I have only had nice cars the last few years as prioritised buying houses and renovating my current house. As you say see you soon and the 2023 version sounds great.

I have had confirmation that mine will be at the dealer ready to pick up on 23rd. Although collecting on 01st July. Can't wait.

£500 deposit which is refundable. I’m guessing it’s going to be 3 - 4 months for my score to pick up and they won’t want it sat around for that long.

I had £10k to put down in all which I thought would have been healthy enough but it’s just the score that’s upset things.

I’ll just enjoy the extra disposable income for a bit and look out for deals in 2023.
I’m lucky not to be in the position to NEED a car as we’ve already got a family runner here anyway.

Ya know- you're in real good shape. You could have bought the car first and had the house fall through. I've seen that happen a bunch.

Picked my white Supra up today - 250 mile drive home. Absolutely loved it - never test drove it just sat in one to make sure I could fit as just over 6' 5" tall. Can't wait to get the running in completed. Off to the detailer tomorrow already fitted Rexspeed dash and wheel carbon bits for the interior and TRE wing mirrors, Carbon A-pillars and Vertus vortex generators. When I get back will sort all the Bimmercode settings. Really happy with how the B58 runs and nearly 40mpg on the motorway on an engine with 6 miles on the clock at the start. Feels much more responsive and stronger than my old early M2 engine (not the Competition version) that is for sure.

I ordered my Lightning Yellow 3.0 Pro at the end of April and was given a provisional delivery date of October, which was then pushed back until January. Fair enough, I realise there is a 6 to 9 month lead time. However, last week the My Toyota app suddenly sent me a push notification and email to say my order was being processed, and a map appeared on the app showing Graz and the route to my dealer via Zeebrugge and Grimsby. I have been on the My Toyota app since april and since then it has always said order processing, with the next stage the build.

Is the sudden appearance of the map on the app and the push notification a sign my car might be built soon, or am I reading too much in to this? is it just the app catching up and I continue to wait until Jan?

when did others see the map appear on the app and how soon before being built?
For me 4 days from map appearing to the notification that it was in build if that helps. From map to collecting the car from the dealer was just over 8 weeks for my car.

looks like I have answered my own question, a week and a half and nothing. Must have been the system getting up to speed with my order and I'll continue to wait until 2023. The map appearing obviously doesnt mean anything.

It took about two weeks from the map and email appearing, to my car going it to build. According to the dealer at that stage a build date have been confirmed. It should go it to build soon. The worst wait is the transit stage as it took about 3 weeks. My car is is derby at the Toyota centre hopefully I will pick my one soon.

thanks for the update, maybe just a few days and I should know, but it does look like it has a build date and could be here much earlier than I thought. I hope so, I cant wait to get my hands on the car, and possibly before the end of summer.

My one finally arrived!!

I picked it with less than one miles and I already drove 125miles.

Also I’m very happy with the colour red as yellow was the other choice and it was free.

There is one issue with the navigation that keeps asking for a usb with a code or something but I use CarPlay anyway. Will get it booked in next week. Also the Toyota badge at the front was damaged from the inside, which is weird and most likely a defect.

I have to say I was disappointed by the lack of goodies during delivery. It was very rushed and I got nothing. Car was in the service bay.

At list a got the car. After a few miles I’ll write something up with some photos.
