Not a good idea to use metal valve cap. If it gets stuck on you're gonna be very angry as you won't be able to get it off.

These use a plastic interior lining, so no worries there.

Changed out my valve stem caps.
The plastic ones didn't survive the last freebie of Toyota Care service.

I also had this happen, but I accidentally cracked a couple since they didn't handle the heat from the wheel well during a track day.

Edit: I luckily did have some spares, but went straight to O'Reillys to get a metal set that wouldn't snap after that.
