After sitting on the plasti-dip wheel kit for 6 months. This was finally the weekend. I like the idea of seeing if you like the color before you buy rims in that color. I don't normally like the 2.0 wheels but I think they look good in the gold bronze.

I've never done this before, it was pretty straight forward after watching like 6 videos. I do wish I had put way more tire sealer on so it would have been easier to pull off excess spray on the tire.

Are the center caps metal? I'm looking for similar center caps to have them powder coated in Satin black.

Thank you! Just ordered.
Curious you installed this on the US passenger side, but the US diagram referenced driver side? (Or am I reading this wrong).
I want to avoid cutting potential cables behind the liner ?
Yes, be very careful as there are a few wires behind the liner. Actually, removing the liner isn’t difficult if you’d rather not take a chance. I used a box cutter to help control the depth of the blade. If I’m remembering correctly the positive battery wire runs behind the upper right corner of where I installed the right mounting point. Not right against the liner but can be reached with a long enough blade. Truth be told, I installed another one on the driver side as well and that had a huge bundle of wires right against the liner at the bottom of the left mounting point.

Point of the novel I just wrote, take your time, use the sharpest blade you feel comfortable with, nothing long, and try to use as little of the blade as possible. Oh, and start small as it’s a nice size hole you have to cut out and there’s no going back if you cut it too big.

Pulled her out of her storage unit and parked the 4Runner. Going to hit some backroads then a wash and quick detail. She’s been on a steady diet of road grit, pollen and mostly bugs… ?

Polished up the exhaust and put on the Suma F1 style 4th brake light. H&R springs going on in a couple days and have some Te37sl on the way. Going down to tail of the dragon in 2 weeks.

You stopping by back of the dragon too? I missed it the first time I went down south. I had no idea back of the dragon even existed. I would of stopped by since it wasn't that far from tail and it was kinda on the way to North Myrtle Beach, which I was heading to.

Down there for 5 days at a nice cabin. Gonna hit every road I can. Second trip, first in a car.

Got some much needed tires. Decided to go with the Continental extreme contact sports in 265/285. I love the way they look and despite not going full balls to the wall during my drive home, I can tell the sidewall is much stiffer than the PSS's.

The PSS's handled 14000 miles and two track days pretty darn well.

~ the tires appear to have a much taller sidewall than the stock tires… is this the case?
