Yes, be very careful as there are a few wires behind the liner. Actually, removing the liner isn’t difficult if you’d rather not take a chance. I used a box cutter to help control the depth of the blade. If I’m remembering correctly the positive battery wire runs behind the upper right corner of where I installed the right mounting point. Not right against the liner but can be reached with a long enough blade. Truth be told, I installed another one on the driver side as well and that had a huge bundle of wires right against the liner at the bottom of the left mounting point.Thank you! Just ordered.
Curious you installed this on the US passenger side, but the US diagram referenced driver side? (Or am I reading this wrong).
I want to avoid cutting potential cables behind the liner ?
Point of the novel I just wrote, take your time, use the sharpest blade you feel comfortable with, nothing long, and try to use as little of the blade as possible. Oh, and start small as it’s a nice size hole you have to cut out and there’s no going back if you cut it too big.
