Yup. That setup would have firmly put you in the "dead" category if you were involved in a wreck.Asking $180 Shipped or New England area pick up. Selling them to make space for a roll bar/cage.
Really? I actually had a friend who crashed with this set up (hate to say it..), Cusco bars, bucket seats and harness. All airbags popped, and he was fortunately fine. Would you elaborate?Yup. That setup would have firmly put you in the "dead" category if you were involved in a wreck.
I do have Cusco Bar but I don't dare to do what you've done. bar itself may be - although most not likely - but what is securing that bar is 2 small bolts on each side. better than stock but still not good enough in my opinion.Really? Isn’t that bar essentially just bolted to sheet metal?Really? I actually had a friend who crashed with this set up (hate to say it..), Cusco bars, bucket seats and harness. All airbags popped, and he was fortunately fine. Would you elaborate?

I still don't see how the CMS bar is any better, in fact, to me, it seems more dangerous, there is no triangulation, it looks like a mouse trap. Also, is that just one bolt per rear mount?Continue the safety discussion here, CMS half roll bar/cage installed, felt much better thanks guys!
Looks fancy! If you are mainly going for the "Track" Looks for the street, I like it.I still don't see how the CMS bar is any better, in fact, to me, it seems more dangerous, there is no triangulation, it looks like a mouse trap. Also, is that just one bolt per rear mount?
As Springsteen puts it, “it’s a death trap, it’s a suicide rap.”I still don't see how the CMS bar is any better, in fact, to me, it seems more dangerous, there is no triangulation, it looks like a mouse trap. Also, is that just one bolt per rear mount?
If it's a certified cage, it needs to be welded to the frame. There will be a certification sticker on it.Not an expert on roll bar but here's some mounting pics, definitely multiple mounting points. This got the nod from Gridlife and we'll see if SCCA and other organization officially approves it. I'll defer to CMS for more info:
"Our one-piece main hoop with fully-integrated X-bracing and harness bar bolts directly to the chassis, forming the backbone of the CMS Performance Roll Bar. Rearward "kicker" supports are optimized for support in a roll-over event while maintaining an unobstructed rear view. The harness bar is specifically designed to locate racing harness shoulder straps at the proper angle (0° to -20°) to the driver's shoulders regardless of seat position. "

That is not correct. NHRA, NASA and SCCA all allow bolt in roll bars per their respective rule books. If it's a certified cage, it needs to be welded to the frame. There will be a certification sticker on it.
