it is an extension of the button in the drivers door and behaves the exact same as that one.Sure, that's fair. All I really want to know is how your solution behaves. Do you know, if somebody presses the button while the car is locked, what happens? Does the trunk open?
Well, that's easy, but if people want a complete system, that's what has to happen.Well it just needs to open theboottrunk ? from an external button. Increasing complexity just increases cost, which in turn reduces interest.
Got it, thanks.Long story short, car locked, button locked.
I don't think a lot more expensive, let me source parts and test it and see what I need to do for itGot it, thanks.
I'd love to see you make further progress on this as I'm very interested in the version with the sensor that can automatically unlock the car and open the trunk with the button. Understandably that version will probably be a lot more expensive but I think it's worth it for the convenience.
putting the kits together, waiting on my business cards to arrive and I'll start pushing stuff out.I ordered mine on September 13th. Any idea when a batch might be shipped?
It is for me. There are times where the key is in the car while I'm needing to get into the trunk. Actually, it's happened quite a bit. This is great for someone like me.If pulling out the key fob to unlock the car then also just press the trunk release button on the fob.
If placing hand on handle to comfort unlock then also open the door and press trunk release.
Cool concept, but not really an added convenience.
