I've never seen anyone ever crash there. You're more likely to crash in the car park than there.

I can only assume it was a mechanical failure or an environmental issue. Novices don't crash there, let alone professionals.

Just curious if anyone knows how many times a car has crashed at that straight....regardless of reason.

The BMW curse...first Hiromu Naruse (RIP) is killed in an LFA by colliding with a BMW, now a BMWyota almost takes out another Toyota driver. Someone have a witch doctor to bring to Nurburgring?

Just curious if anyone knows how many times a car has crashed at that straight....regardless of reason.

The last corner before the gantry/straight has claimed many cars over the years but on the straight itself i’ve only ever seen accidents happen in races like the VLN and even then its usually been down to contact between two cars or something like a tyre failure. Tourists do sometimes loose it on the straight when its not coned off and its wet. Its a bad spot for aquaplaning.

Nur veteran of nearly 15 years and I cant recall ever seeing or hearing of a tourist/tester crashing on the Döttinger Höhe straight under perfectly dry conditions as we saw in the pictures of the Supra.

Would love to find out what went wrong.

Could have been oil/coolant on the track, especially given the location

Very good point. Its the end of the lap so oil/water will be at it hottest.

It happened to me once at that very place in my ST205. The 0.9bar factory radiator cap let go after 9mins of 100 degree plus oil temps through the standard oil to water cooler ensured the water didnt want to be in the radiator any longer lol

next we're gonna see a90s kids graduate high school and go off to college. a90 is actually really proud because both jack and jenny are attending a90's alma mater, however both jack and jenny become emabrassed when a90s asks them to ask staff at the college if they still remember a90 and the incident with the easter marshmallow peeps that a90 and beta beta beta pulled off last day of class in the in the fountain down in the main quad. then well see a90 get that promotion that johnson over in the next cubicle was always bragging he was going to get in the staff lounge. finally we'll see a90 retire and pick up a following on youtube with all the free time it has by posting one of those oddly satisfying videos of wooden spoons being made from random tree trunks using a lathe, or using an industrial hydraulic press to crush a series of house found objects. a90 will tell it's signifcant other that that wood lathe/hydraulic press was NOT a waste of money and was actually a pretty good investment seeing as how it's number of subcribers are close to reaching 34k and all a90 needs is one video to reach 1 million views to make some really good money to invest into designing mkvi

Yes, the A90’s long unreveal is definitely long in the tooth, in fact there is not much tooth left. I feel like we should be saying spy shots for the next gen Supra (2025?) any day now.
