I’m afraid they’ll be identical in power.. maybe just differ in looks and suspension tuning. Every plastic piece looks the same. Except for the Toyota logo.. not surprised to be honest.
I'm banking on some ground breaking news that the internals are different along with the interior finish. If none of the above checks out then Toyota can make it up by releasing a manual.

That's what Tada's colleague said... Apparently it was all or nothing, so both cars have the same motor with completely different tuning and transmission shift points are entirely different too.

( btw, BMW has several revisions planned for other motors using the Toyota changes and refinements lol. Tada went from being hated to being a hero... funny how life works)
No offense but that last comment right there is what baffles me about some of the unofficial official comments/rumors. You don’t even know exactly what is what but you make a statement like that about BMW as if Toyota knows what BMW is planning to do. You either know everything and playing coy or you are just taking bits and pieces and making guesses but claiming it as facts. Or someone is just having a good laugh at your expense.

Something is off....I just don’t buy it.

I don't have the internal/component specifics yet or information on why redline may be different.

It was hard enough just to get that bit of info at this point so.

Yeah, even down to the clearance for the strut bracing on the airbox. I wonder if the goodwood car has Z4 items because it's still a prototype, or whether they'll just share in production . (simple items like airbox etc)

The front cowling looks the same too.

Given the bmw is single turbo, I assume the A90 will be too. Which is good. Given the efficiency of a larger single is often greater than two smaller ones, as cool as it is... Twin turbo isn't really relevant anymore.
In the photo it says "Twin Power Turbos." I'm assuming when you say one, it is a sequential turbo.

I'm not on the Supra project anymore, so all I can do is repeat some of what I hear. Other parts are off limits and I'm trusted to not talk about it.

I give these bits and pieces of info because people prefer it and have Pm'd asking to please not stop and/or leave, which is the only reason I'm still here.

I can understand if you don't like me or what I have to say, but you're free to keep scrolling.

I never said I didn’t like you. Damn!

I also didn’t say you should stop, I am just questioning the logic behind your comments. Can you say for 100% that your comment is factual or is this what you heard etc..?

You said it as a statement. Just saying, which is it?

We should start putting money down on final results. My money is on, it will be the same as the Z4 with slight suspension tuning and maybe, maybe different final gear ratios, that’s about it.

Thank you A70 for replying with relevant information instead of making comments and assumptions that don’t really add to this community

I'm only as good as what the engineers tell me because I'm not on site, but I do trust what they say 100%. They are the ones that made that particular comment, so it's something I heard from them, but I have no reason to believe it's not factual.

For the most part, even when I was attached to the project, because I'm not an engineer, much of the info was information I was told as well.

That's just the nature of my position.

(on the other hand, I don't find information from TMS USA to be particularly reliable at this point)

Paging Dr. Performance, juicy info for you to see if you haven't yet.

They didn't want another SPA moment
If using same engine but detuned and still manages to get 4.4 seconds, what is the engine in the Supra gonna have. A zero to 60 in 3.5?

450 hp?

Unless BMW took advice from toyota as mentioned above and will iutclass the Supra with an m2 revision or m4 upgrade, can't see them allowing Toyota to have more than them in the power figures
