I agree man, I am with you on that 100%, everyone has a right to their own opinion. The problem here is, alot of folks (especially new folks) hop on this forum and have no clue what the hell they are talking about and immediately join rest of the sheep who have no idea what they are commenting or arguing about....they just regurgitate the other guys' words. Then, there are the "hero's" who post immediately stating something "positive" (i.e., so sick and tired of all this drama, etc....) to make themselves stand out as rational folks, when they themselves are very much guilty of the same comments and opinions as the everyone else in different threads.

As you said, if you look back at my questions....I ask questions in a normal tone. Everyone says I keep bringing up the past or obvious things, well....that's the questions or comments people are throwing out there are questions pertaining to previous and or obvious things. For example, people have commented along the lines of, "interesting the engine cover looks like a BMW's cover." I respond with, "yes, because it is built using BMW parts." People are too sensitive on here and immediately attack because one person does so, so they all must. They don't stop to think let me re-read what he is responding to. It's like god damn hornets nest!

On a serious note, I for one have lurked on this forum for quite some time, and have enjoyed all the insight A70, Guff, and other folks have provided. Whether it’s factual or not, I do believe some of the things A70 had hinted at earlier on have indeed come to fruition. It’s our choice to believe whether A70’s insight is legitimate or not, and while we can’t expect anything substantial from Toyota right now, A70’s word is all we’re left with for the time being. I’m not typically a gullible person. I understand A70 could be feeding us BS. But it was MY choice to believe in what he’s saying. It’s not about being sheeple. I don’t go to sleep at night thinking that EVERY LITTLE THING A70 has told us will happen. I take it with a grain of salt, because that’s all we have right now, and it helps pass the time by. As someone mentioned earlier, this place would be a fucking GHOST TOWN if it weren’t for some of the insiders here. So why the fuck do you even care if we choose to believe what A70 or Guff says? If you guys are waiting for “hard” facts, GTFOH and come back once Toyota has released their information. This forum is all about speculation until we get the hard facts.

You guys have added nothing but negativity in your crusade of condemning the Supra before it has even come out. Deny this all you like, but the majority of the folks on here would probably agree that this would be a better place without you guys, not A70.

A70 was the one who even brought up the notion of not wanting to be on this thread or forum....I never said, "go away your not wanted!" Your assuming again like every other person on this forum. Calm the hell down, and READ READ READ my comments properly. You attack like A70 is your baby or special needs kid. If he chooses to take things personal, that's his problem...I even stated that I respect his opinions and comments, but I also stated that none of the "things he's heard" have been backed up by proof up to this point. One thing I love about forums is when you break it down, the majority of us have that one thing in common - the Supra; therefore treat this place like a brotherhood. Hopefully all of this bantering isn’t personal and we can rejoice once Toyota releases updated information.

On a serious note, to everyone: sometimes people don't mean to sound rude. Typing words on a forum vs talking to someone in person can sometimes come off differently and not as intended. My advice to everyone would be to just chill, relax, take a deep breath and choose your words carefully. Again, if you are having an issue with another forum member please try to work in out via private message. The staff cannot be expected to settle every dispute. Economically production wise establishing another line for a low volume production car is stupid.


It's going to be produced with similar parts except the shell and aesthetic bits...

Suppliers will be same too... Pretty much european based suppliers which is a gripe for me.... This car is Pretty much european with Japanese styling..

Japanese suppliers will probably limited if not be used at all except for Japanese unique technology

One of the hardest bits of development is convincing production side... The factory production and engineering... To add another assembly line...

It can only be justified if the demand is high or sales is high... For cars that sell in the 50,000 per month range... That's a no brainer.... This car will be in one line.. Same assembly line as the Z4... Which will be the same line as the previous Z4....

Suppliers and other bits are all european...


I've spoken to Toyota spare parts down here and it was implied that parts will be similar lead time as what BMW has... Usually Toyota has good supply for spares and stuff down here but... It will be slightly different as most parts are German/european made...
