Just got my 2023 premium Friday and I already want this sucker louder! Love the car but it's definitely way too quiet stock.

Pretty sure I am going with a active autowerks catted DP because I hate CEL and probably won't sped to have my ECU unlocked anytime soon (just JB4)

Wondering what catback everyone had paired with the AA catted DP? Should I just stick with AA and get their catback as well, or is there better options out there that retain the stock valves?

Want something that ups the sound in the cabin but isn't obnoxiously loud, and can be toned down in normal mode with the valves closed. from my research just the AA catted DP alone on the stock exhaust may not satisfy me so I figure might as well replace the whole system while I am at it and under the car!

Also, does a catted DP and catback enhance the turbo spooling sound a decent amount or do I need to get an intake as well for that? Don't need crazy turbo noises but would like to hear it whistle when I get on it!

Thanks!

From my research (which I waste too much time doing as I'm waiting on my car) the more common valved options are HKS, Fi, Magnaflow, and Borla. I think most people go for HKS or Magnaflow. A very popular non-valved exhaust is the AWE resonated touring.

My personal plan is to go either Fi or Magnaflow and a guy just posted a well done Fi review today. Which one I go with will be based on how much more volume I want after trying high-flow catted DP + stock. My understanding is Magnaflow is a bit deeper/louder compared to Fi and being adjustable is also a nice option.

Intake is the main turbo noise mod, not exhaust.

Take all this with a grain of salt as these thoughts are just based on Youtube videos of exhausts + reading the forums obsessively.

Ok cool thanks. I have done some research too and haven't seen much on the AA catback but tons of info on the AA DPs.

Keeping stock valves is pretty important to me as I like things to feel as OEM+ as possible, and the little bluetooth controllers for aftermarket valved exhausts doesn't really appeal to me, just a another piece to keep up with.

Thanks for the info, I will look more into the ones you mentioned.

You are right, its really hard to know for sure what sound you want based just off youtube videos because microphones can really distort the actual sound. I just plan on going off peoples opinions and hoping for the best. I have thought about just the DP on stock exhaust but based on some comments it may not be loud enough for me and I would rather just do it all at once then have to lift the car up a couple weeks later.

I have the HKS Super Turbo catback with the AA downpipe. The best way I can describe the sound with the HKS exhaust is that normal mode now sounds like sport mode did with just the downpipe, and sport mode now is another step up. So still not loud, but sport mode is at a good level now, and normal mode is still quiet enough that it sounds mostly OEM.

One of our best sellers is the Borla exhaust, great with valves, lifetime warranty and in stock!

sweet. Yeah if you dm when you get a chance that would be awesome. I don’t have an insta

did I read somewhere that the magnaflow reduces the clearance a good amount?

awesome, thanks. Your site shows that it won’t fit my 2023 premium, maybe just a glitch?

It will fit. All exhausts are the same from 2020+, packages & what not.

AA catted down-pipe and Magnaflow, sounds great and modular so you tailor the sound. Running muffler on the driver and straight pipe on the passenger / valve side.

Very happy with it…
