... my house and it has fake window shutters all over the place.. but it makes the house look good.
And women wear push up bras, high heels, and makeup. Why? Because they think it makes them look more attractive. People put on carbon fiber stickers and replace body and interior components with carbon fiber that's equal weight or more than the OEM part. Why? Because it looks kewl. How many wings do you see on the back of these damn cars that provide no real aero?

Someone cool somewhere said something to the tune of "man, I hate fake vents" and the rest of the car community sounds off like the sea gulls from Finding Nemo.

The triple exhaust does look kinda silly but it is functional. If I recall correctly the center exhaust is valve controlled and only opens above a certain RPM. The rear diffuser upgrades will have a good market, same for twin exhausts too. I'll attach the picture from SEMA. And a TOM'S style diffuser/exhaust upgrade.

Watch the savageese video on the GR corolla. Apparently you can't do much with it the rear/ center diff gets hot and it turns into a fwd corolla. Sounds like a modern quality toyota... Same one that belongs in the pile of rusted/ broken frame 4 runner, tacomas, and tundras. Best thing toyota ever did was let bmw handle the engineering.

Shoulda woulda coulda
They could have engineered, added, many more things and ended up releasing it in 2021 instead for $10k more..
Toyota has a problem right. It's not a Japanese car, so not so much national love. They can't make it $70k then people would just buy Porsche. They can't sell it like Vette quantities with vette fan bois and patriots or charger challenger and 3,4 series as Supra is born a sports car.. for 55K it's pretty darn good car fake vents or not..
Love this post..... couldn't have said it better.....

Yeah, it was surprisingly to hear that the rear diff didn't have proper cooling on a car touted on WRC technology.

Have you guys seen the new Corolla GR from Toyota? How does that car have functional vents and 3 exhaust!!! Here the top of their line gets fake vents instead and a wimpy horn.. 🤦🏻‍♂️🙄

Does anyone think they’ll redesign the Supra and update those things?
I'm not sure what the reason behind fake vents were. I liked my functional vents that were on my 22' BRZ. But honestly besides the look factor, I don't feel functional vents would have made a major difference in the performance realm on this car unless you're concerned with a 10th of second or so in racing. I love this car. Only disappointment I found was when I started looking at the BMW website, (never been a BMW guy or knew much about them) and found out the Z4 is one of their lower HP/Torque Cars, I was like well damn. But at the end of the day I love this car and excited to see what I can do with it.

Giving a shit about shit like exhaust and vents is such a ridiculous premise. Almost as ridiculous as giving a flying fuck about things like 'heritage' or 'legacy' or whatever.

Either way, I assume this is some troll post. It's best if we all just move on.

5 years?

March 2019 - March 2023 = 4 years almost exactly.
Thats what I said, almost “going into 5yrs” plus a touch of exaggeration.

Anyways, Ill rather have fake vents than fake exhaust tips.

4.00005 is closer to 4 than 5. Might as well say going on 10 years if you are just making things up. 😉

Haha okay. People aren't allowed to make mistakes. So when someone gives incorrect info it automatically means they are making things up. Get off your high horse. It's a forum it ain't that serious.

Sounds like we’re both here for fun. But I gotta admit, thx to Brian’s “pickiness” (attention to detail), he’s saved me tons of time and $$$. At least on other threads. Takes a lot of different peeps to make the world go around (or a track car in my case).

Love this forum! Unlike politics, this is one of the few place I can talk nowadays and not get my head chopped off for saying the wrong thing. The ability to discuss multiple car topics and have such wide opinions and uses, McLovin it 🍟 🥰

Anyways, y’all crack me up. Love this car. Even if it has a “flaw” or two. When anyone finds the perfect car, lemme know. Someone somewhere will have two flaws for every one thing you like 😝 So keep up the good work amigos! ✌🏼
