Lost cause, enjoy your life in fairytale land. As they say, ignorance is bliss. But you haven't laid out any facts, or said anything with merit. All your nonsense you're spouting is pure bias. So maybe start there?
Nope. Just said that to prove to you that the media twist things for shock value, never said you said them. You bring up his father and that Max wasn’t at a team meeting, you again are adding things that I did not say or bring up, you are just assuming that this is where my opinions are coming from.
And then you speak of blinders, ignoring the truth, and whatever else you throw my way. Even though you agree with me, you still argue, so who's got the blinders on here?I gave you credit for any facts that you laid out
And again, thanks for proving my point.Lost cause, enjoy your life in fairytale land. As they say, ignorance is bliss.
Agreed. I'll stop feeding the troll.
You ARE the troll numbnuts!Agreed. I'll stop feeding the troll.
Thank you Jesus. If Danny is reading this, I hit the ignore button on your posts (meaning I won't see any of your posts from this point forward). I suggest you do the same. Have a great life bud.
Good pointsF1 is the pinnacle of car racing, is it the primer for considerate driving etiquette, definitely not. Every driver chooses to ignore team orders from time to time, Max seems to do it a lot more, but I will admit that it might be highlighted by the media due to RB being a dominate team. You certainly don't hear so much of this from the back markers, but you do certainly hear about it from the bigger teams, not just RB. The reality is, if you are a Champion, you will be under the microscope more than others. Not saying it's fair, but that's the reality.
Perez showed in this past race that he is a lot closer to Max than people wanted to admit, on this track, with the same times, and same car. Over 15 laps, Max was only able to take about 1 second out of the lead that Perez had. So Max is faster, but Perez definitely isn't slow, at least in this race.
I too am pulling for Alonso, he's kind of the bad guy on the track and embraces that role, in a good way.
As you said, exciting racing is just exciting and I too love teams that push the tech to the limit. The issue this year is it appears, at least for now, there is only one team that is reaching the top and all the others are fighting for 2nd place. That's less exciting, plus you know damn well there won't be a fight for the championship in the last race of the year between Perez and Max, Max is just too dominate and the team will push him to that number one spot (as they should as he is their number one driver). At the very least, I hope that RB allows them to race a bit and try to let Perez stay in the race a little longer for the Championship, if only for our own entertainment.
He's doing better for sure, but he's not at Max's speed yet. That was evident in Bahrain. He started 14 spots ahead of Max, and in the end only had a 5 second lead with Max nursing a problem in the car. When they're starting 1 and 2 and they're fighting all the way to the finish, then I'd say Perez has fully caught up.And Perez is definitely living up to that role!
The way that I look at F1 and the whole team vs driver debate is music. So the driver is the musician, but they are nothing without the instrument, the lyrics/sheet music/melody, not to mention the producing, and everything else.Good points
How much of winning is being the no. 1 is driver vs. team? What is Red Bull doing this season that is so much better than the Mercedes 8 year dominance of old? Love em or hate em, we all tend to lean on the driver‘s side of the equation and I‘m sure it’s a bit of both. Perez and Max are incredible drivers. Max pushing Perez to his ultimate best. That’s going to happen when you are forced to drive at that level. And Perez is definitely living up to that role!
I tell you what, that British kid driving for Mercedes really is living up to his role as well. Wow! The he’s riding high, believes in himself and is also forced to stay at Hamilton’s pace. Proving he deserves to be a top F1 driver.
Ferrari appears to be a bit flustered. But who knows. It gets into a drivers head if you don’t feel like your team is making the best decisions. These guys need to focus on themselves and (hate to say it) be more Max like. You can’t let the outside ? get to you. Or at least learn how to drop it fast and move on. What the hell do I know. It just appears to be a lingering thing for Ferrari. I’d love to see them win, only because of the name and glory days with Schumacher.
There’s a lot to follow. I’m really going to enjoy watching this season unfold.
Yup! Max is definitely at another level. But Perez is doing a great job at his role for Red Bull. He's doing better for sure, but he's not at Max's speed yet. That was evident in Bahrain. He started 14 spots ahead of Max, and in the end only had a 5 second lead with Max nursing a problem in the car. When they're starting 1 and 2 and they're fighting all the way to the finish, then I'd say Perez has fully caught up.
Like how you explain it. I was shocked how badly McLaren did ? last race. I hope Max and Perez can make the most out of what Red Bull has put on their plate. It’s so early in the season. Anything can happen for sure. The way that I look at F1 and the whole team vs driver debate is music. So the driver is the musician, but they are nothing without the instrument, the lyrics/sheet music/melody, not to mention the producing, and everything else.
What's more impressive about RB is that they are dominating with the cost cap, where as Mercedes was spending a lot of money to stay in the lead (which isn't a guarantee either).
Yes Russel is driving extremely well, I'd say on par with Lewis, which is high praise. The thing about Mercedes and why I think they'll end up in second place this season, they are just so consistent, don't have many reliability issues, and their drivers are top notch. Alonso will most likely be 3rd in the drivers standings, but his partner is definitely not on the same level, hence why I don't have them in 2nd place.
Then you have Ferrari, just a mess. From the strategy to the reliability issues. Sure Charles and Carlos have their mental mistakes here and there, but I tend to think it's mostly those two things keeping them back. Their drivers are as good as any others.
Then you have my poor poor McLaren team, think Ferrari only at a much greater magnitude. I think that Lando is likely as good as the Ferrari pair, but that car this year is just pure garbage. They need to really look at changing leadership there and flushing this season down the tube and invest everything into next season. Which is sad to say with only two races in the books. I just hope that Lando doesn't jump ship before they turn it around.
In fairness to Checo, it looked like it was a setup or mechanical issue rather than driver error. He's too experienced to make basically the same mistake three times. In replays, you could see the car unexpectedly pushing straight on and locking the inside wheel.Agreed that Sargent's mom is a smoke show
Great to see George and Lewis so upbeat during the interviews!
Also, Perez had one of the worst days I've seen in recent memory. Couldn't seem to find an apex to save his life and then beaches 1 of the 2 best cars during quali to start dead last. Tonight's race shall be fun!
