So for anyone wanting to turn off the chirp you dont need to have the "Roof Function Center" control unit enabled in your bimmer code app. From the bimmercode main menu navigate to "headunit", select "Checkbox acoustical lock confirmation", then click "Acitve", then code that shit.

Now you in your head unit navigate to Vehicle settings -> doors/keys and you should now have an option to turn off the chirp. Thanks everyone for helping out šŸ‘Š!!!

Also, you have to have the car running to turn this feature on or off on the HU. I tired disabling it after I turned the car off and it didn't do anything. Once I turned it back on, I could uncheck the box.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Was annoyed I couldnā€™t turn it back off since I lost the Roof Function module after the recall. I want to keep the chirp but turn down the volume and I canā€™t anymoreā€¦yet.

So a heads up, BimmerCode has an update that brought back the ability to use the Roof Function module.

Yeah absolutely mine got darker, I will try to post up some before/after pics when I get a chance. I know you were looking to diminish the tinging affect but did you try a code of 0x30 to see if they darken more for you? I'll play around with lower numbers to see if there is a cutoff number that I can notice as I didn't try any numbers lower than 20. Will report back with my findings.
I have the opposite problem, mine when darkens is too dark, is there anyway to turn the tint down a notch or two?

Anyone found a way to code out the the display advising you what gear you should be when in "manual" mode?

i.e. you're in 6th gear and it's telling you to change to 8th. Super annoying and distracting.

^ Exactly this. Does it both in sport and normal mode when the gear lever is in manual. Wouldn't mind if it did it in normal mode, but not in sports....

That is definitely not a US car thing. Helpfully you figure it out.

My active sound design is just "deactivated" with no other options, this means ASD is OFF right? While the default was unassigned value?

Has anyone, or is there a setting, to turn off the adaptive cruise by default. I just want to set the cruise and go

With cruise turned on, hold down either one of the distance control buttons. A message will appear stating radar control has been deactivated, or something like that. This will turn it into regular, old school cruise control. Repeat process to re-activate. No idea if this "setting" survives a restart or needs to be applied each time.
