Buying a new 2020 ECU for FEMTO Unlock

Is this possible? or any new ECU will just be the locked DME version which they would calibrate to your car?
Seems like everywhere to look for salvaged ECUs is just charging ridiculous amounts so looking for a better option that is out there.

Let me know if anyone has any information or if this is not a possible / viable solution

I don't think that's possible. If it was prices wouldn't be so high for resale ones.

Or better yet I don't think it's as easy as going into a dealer and ordering a new DME.

Doesn't really work like that. There's no such thing as a "new 2020 DME". It's not like there's a specific part number for pre-June 2020 DME's you can order. If you order a new DME for a 2020 model year then it would just be a newer production date and not tuneable without Femto unlock.

As mentioned, if it was that simple then no one would need to be hunting for them.

Lol No. They don't manufacture that ECU anymore, that's the whole point. If you order a 'new' 2020 ECU, first off, they're a year+ out. Second, you'll get a new style ECU pre-programmed for your car.
