Saw one at the track. It was funny because our local NASA chapter always asks whoās here with a new GR car for their free track day. We all clap and welcome them. This last time someone said they heard there was a GR Corolla on the roster. So the grand poo-ba asked the driver to stand up. He did and was famous all day long Everyone was following that guy around, asking questions, looking at his car. Despite the fact there are Ferraris & Porsches galore. Congrats bud!Been a while since I had updates, adding a stable mate for the Supra, found a GR Corolla that I'll be picking up end of week and driving from CA to WA.
Welcome to the you must be cheating club, lol. Thatās how it feels. The car is fantastic with some better rubber. Add some SPL parts and lawd help us! Try keeping up with the MX5 in the corners. When you can do that, your times will be insane . Iāll go find the best MX5 driver and ask if I can follow him/her out the next session. If you havenāt done this already. So much fun dude!!I parked that sucker. Yesterday I tracked it at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, what an awesome track beast. The first time I tracked it there with stock suspension and factory tires, the tires chunked after 3 sessions and I had to go home early. I got SPL everything for it (the whole kit), had my tech install, align and tune it and put cheater tires on it. Now I'm edging closer to the under 2:00 club there. On the check ride my tech (a much better driver than I am) said the car was throwable. That car is incredible.
Tossable is the term I'm used to, and it's quite a compliment to any machine. My old (now the backup/guest) snowmobile fits that category, and it basically means the handling is so well sorted and confidence inspiring, that one can purposely throw it into a corner with reckless abandon, unsettling the chassis, and then proceed to reel it back in line, every single time the operator wants to.On the check ride my tech (a much better driver than I am) said the car was throwable. That car is incredible.
GR strut brace:
Not sure if this has been answered before, but can anyone provide the part number for the gr strut brace?
Thank you very much mate.Toyota PTR0321230
I see you put on an OEM MKIV script badge. I ordered one of those expecting it to be black and a little closer to the scale of the MKV oem badge but was left disappointed. My thoughts exactly!
With your satin black, a gold/bronze caliper would look bad ass in my opinion. The cars allllll blacked out aside from the engine bay.. I was leaning on a yellow for the brake calipers but Iām not 100% sure now..
rapid blue? Neon green? Any suggestions or paint color codes would much be appreciated
The MKIV badge is cool! But lets also talk about the GR badge too. Did you make that as well?I see you put on an OEM MKIV script badge. I ordered one of those expecting it to be black and a little closer to the scale of the MKV oem badge but was left disappointed.
So, I made my own of correct scale and more than a sticker like the OEM MKIV badge script.
Not today, but a year ago today.
Drive fast, be safe, make good friends.
RIP @SuperDave2419 Miss you pal.
