Exactly.While driving through checkpoints for certain types of buildings/areas, gate guards usually prefer you to turn off your headlights as you approach so you don't blind them.
It sucks not being able to turn off the headlights while in motion.
I let my wife drive the Supra every once in a while to work (secured area), and they dont like when people pull up with headlights on at 4-5am.
She told me she will stop way before approaching gates, and then turn them off before pulling up.
