Nice!!! Deff a step up over E30 alone. I wonder how much of the improvement is just methanol in general vs the FP green.

So if I'm keeping score correctly. You only have base times for the 40-100. With the new turbo you complain of traction issue that are likely corrected with 60-130 test.

(i presume 93 octane), JB4 map 0 (base)
40-100 - 6.53

e30, JB4 map 6
40-100 - 5.69

e30, map 6, new turbo
40-100 - 5.64 (traction issues)

e30, JB4 map 6, new turbo, meth
40-100 - 5.26 (did traction issue improve?)

Seems like the BIG improvement is Jesse, JB4, and the E30. That buys you 0.84 seconds to a significant speeding ticket.

The turbo on its own didn't seem to do much. You do complain of traction issues. Wonder if those went away. But maybe you save 0.05? And this is crazy small sample size so who knows what the noise is. But I wouldn't be surprised if 0.05 might just be the variance from run to run to run.

The meth and improved tune is the next big boost with another 0.40 seconds to going to jail.

Kind of curious with cost. Jesse tune, JB4, and the E30. Did you get an Flex Fuel or Fuel It thingy to measure and insure your running E30? So you're $1600 in here.

Don't know what the Turbo did. Curious what stock turbo and meth guys can run on 40-100.

And then the meth kit like another 500? And another map 6 tune.

Assuming you only get one tune from Jesse (the e30 and the meth), skip the turbo, then you can have you're wife angry by the increased insurance rates for only $2100?

Well, I don't know your downpipe situation but you also already had a charge pipe. So you'd have to get one of those for a few hundred for the meth. So maybe all in for $$2500?

Yep… seeing where we can adjust JB4 to peak a bit more out…

This thread started out as a test of the new Turbo. But the data doesn't really highlight it though. Hmm. Kind of sad. Don't suppose you'd put the OEM one back on :D hahahaha...

I think using draggy alone to track progress can be a bit tough. From my experience there’s a ton of variables that can make realistically large changes to your time. How hot the engine is, the road conditions, changes in weather day to day, temperature of the tires, what gear and speed you accelerate from, etc etc. It’s hard to recreate the exact conditions each day and that might be part of the result presented. I’ve ran a 5.66 40-100 and I’ve also run a 6.2+ with worse conditions.

Plus, a 40-100 or 60-130 draggy might not tell the whole story about what’s going on. Perhaps the FP G has better top end characteristics? Perhaps the fuel lines with meth are still bottlenecking? Maybe we’re seeing the limits of the JB4 as well?

Just my thoughts

clearly not the least expensive way to go… but we’re not maxing out the fpgreen and (IMO) I’m now better prepared for an unlock :)…. and yes @Jesse DaBears is the man you want helping you with your jb4 custom maps

not sure what you’re getting at as far as insurance rates, my rates are cheap. Seems like I’m running pretty close to an e50 tune on stock turbo ??‍♂… and traction is obviously still an issue

I think you’re pretty accurate…the FP green seems to be essentially a stock turbo that doesn’t die at 5800rpm and yes, the jb4 can only do so much. Once I have a couple weeks where I can send the ecu out, I will… pretty sure we all know it will be a different animal with a custom dme tune. Also, @Jesse DaBears and I are still working some things, logs are super clean and nothing concerning so we will continue to revise the map.

There’s another guy with the fpgreen and an unlocked ecu, his thread probably better for what you’re looking for

Regardless of whatever the turbo is doing, this is a great time and I’m sure the car feels fantastic with @Jesse DaBears tuning it. FEMTO will deff have a nice impact, but honestly man if you like the car as it is, I wouldn’t stress it.

The car runs amazing, it just keeps pulling. I popped a meth line and leaked some, have done probably 10 full throttle pulls for logs. And have gone through about a gallon.. so it lasts decent.. I’ll probably fill it every time I refuel the car

Nice. That’s not bad at all. Times speak for themselves!
