Are ppl still actually holding out for this? Highly unlikely considering all that has come to light.
Yeah I'm still holding out for the iron block as it was our insider that commented that around August. If I doubt I just read it again to make sure and it lets me sleep peacefully at night lmao.

A little birdy told me it’s unfortunately not happening now. The rumoured iron block is just that, a rumour.

A good race debut for the supra! It didn´t explode in flames.
The objective was clearly to gather data and continue the car development, not pace or points. That is evident with the driver lineup, not a single professional race driver there:

- Morizo: It´s actually Akio Toyoda, the CEO of Toyota. So cool to have him racing the Supra, he actually put down the cars fastest laptime. Pressure on the development team for sure!
- Herwig Daenens: Member of the Vehicle Testing Division of Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA
- Hisashi Yabuki: Member of the Advanced Technical Skills Institute at Toyota Motor Corporation

Regarding performance, very hard to read with traffic, non-pro drivers, and full track configuration.
Best lap time (Nurburgring "GP" circuit + Nordschleife) 9:25.555
This is what we expected. The GP track usually adds a bit more than 2 minutes to the nordschleife laptime.

We are blesssed to have him as a CEO. There is no doubt the F-divsion of Lexus wouldn't exist without him and neither would the GT86 nor the Supra. Heck he got his own Toyota Century tuned by GRMN. I have trouble naming any other CEO who shows this much passion.

Toyota's new Supra A90, the Nürburgring Endurance Championship (VLN) debut in real shock at the final battle. Morizou was also running and finished perfectly!
The main aim of participating in VLN is final confirmation by marketing specification Morizo!


Big surprise was waiting for the Nürburgring endurance championship (VLN) which was held on Saturday, October 20 at the Nuremberg link in Germany.
Unsold yet unpublished Toyota New Supra (A90) has participated in the SP8T class (commercial turbo car class of 2600 cc or more and 4000 cc or less) as "GAZOO Racing A 90".

The qualifying scheduled from 8:30 a.m. was started one hour later due to heavy fog, but Nürburgring was blessed with clear weather with clear clear autumn though temperature was low.

Germans are off during autumn holidays, and many members of families with children visit the circuit and it is crowded. With 162 machines gloriously lined up, the starting grid was a masterpiece, and only around Supra was a bigger crowd than any other machine, and the high expectation was revealed.

A 90 that won the 94th grid (class 1 place / 2 entries) in the morning qualifying session. Qualifying qualifying time is 9 minutes 31 seconds 235 at 3 laps of measurement. Morizo player (President Toyoda Akira Toyota Motor Corporation) also grasped the steering last.

At 1 pm, the A90 SUPRA started from the first start group 94 grid finished successfully while checking the state of the machine halfway or pitting in 6 degrees.
He won the overall score of 116th overall and 2nd place in the class.
The best time was measured on lap 10, 9 minutes 28 seconds 164. It exceeded the qualifying time.
Morisyu is in charge of the last stint. After 4 hours, I received a historical checkered flag.

The new Supra A90 which started the test running from Friday, 19th.

Together with the stakeholders, the significance of this entry was the final confirmation test by Morizo player who was held before the official announcement of the new SUPRA, but in fact Morisyu himself bought the final test drive in this NULL It is said that it came out. It was surprising that this time it was the first time I drove this specification.

From the photographs, we can see that special aero parts for racing such as GT wings and over fenders, and extreme car height down are not done, and you can see that they participated in the final race of VLN just like "market car".

Actually, Mori zou player, not only started racing with only the new SUPRA but also entered a double entry in this final VLN race held this time and is a course in Toyota 86 just before starting with the new SUPRA. He is running three laps.

Not only do you run Nuel alone with a new Supra in the commercial state, but by participating in VLN and fighting a battle with other cars, its driving feeling, behavior, and time comparison become possible. It seems that the current position of the new Supra has been more clearly confirmed.
By running the same race at Toyota 86 accustomed to riding at the same time, it seems that we conducted a comparative test on the performance of the new model Supra's commercial vehicle.

In this final round of VLN, you may think that Morizo player himself has done the ultimate "sensitive test".

Unfortunately I could not get Morizo's comment, but as long as I look at the expression after the race from the photograph, it seems that it was a satisfying test.

However, cases where specifications and hiring parts have been changed by Morizo player's check existed in the past. That's why I'm looking forward to seeing how the results of this test will be reflected in commercial cars, and for future interviews.
