Who said I don’t have plans to ever own a MKVI was referring to your comment here:
I didn't bother looking as I assumed you were admitting to already bashing somewhere on here. either way, I'm still perplexed why you would even be on a MKV Supra forum when you don't own one and don't plan on getting one now that you have chosen a GT-R. It's like showing back up to a job that you quit wondering why your boss is confused to see you again.![]()
2022 might be the year my fiancé gets a MKV. She loved the car and so did I, but for me the size was a big factor. The lack of a manual transmission doesn’t make it a deal breaker, but I was previously told a manual would be eventually offered. Many have argued otherwise, and I can see why a manual could not (not would not) be offered. However, because I already own a quick enough daily car that is a manual, with good support for much more power....there isn’t a need to get another manual car. If the GTR or MKV came with a manual, I would sell my STI and only keep one. The deciding factor(s) for me ended up being overall performance and comfort. Not saying the MKV lacked both, it just wasn’t at the same level (to me) as the GTR....and that makes sense, one is $60k new and one is $110k new.
one thing I want to say not just to you but to anyone joining a forum....you don’t have to own that type of vehicle to be a member of a community of car enthusiasts. Sure, people prefer to own a car and join a forum for that car, but it doesn’t mean everyone must own that car to appreciate it. I own an STI and actually am not very active on the Subaru forums. Why? Simple preference. The MKV still to me is a fantastic car, and I hope to eventually own one in the future.
