Still waiting... How long have you been waiting for your GR Supra allocation/order/update etc.?

How long did you have to wait/have been waiting to receive your GR Supra from the dealership??

I called a few dealers with allocations from that tracker spreadsheet but I am trying to understand what the Dealer Statuses mean, particularly Dealer Hold. Some that had no status in the sheet were already sold and delivered.

I put a deposit down on 12/28/22, specifying an Absolute Zero 3.0 Premium MT as my preference. Received my allocation on 4/5/23 for an Absolute Zero 3.0 MT, which arrived in port on 5/26. I picked it up on 7/7/23 (I could have picked it up a day early, but work got in the way). What I found puzzling was that my Base 3.0 MT came with red brake calipers, which I didn't think was available in the US market. It must be a North America thing since NicKnack's also has red brake calipers?

I think 2023 models all have red calipers.

Took delivery today after the 750+ mile drive from FL. Three months(I thought it was 4 but I miscounted lol) to the day since I put the deposit down on the dealer's incoming allocation.

Immediately drove it 150 miles to Tail of the Dragon, did run and finished at our destination for the next several nights.

This car is phenomenal

I may be wrong, but I believe that "dealer hold" means that the dealer is reserving the car for someone on their waitlist already. It isn't "pre-sold" because some dealerships are not allowed or would rather not sell the car until it arrives at the dealership. That is why some only take deposits.

The dealership I talked to gave me the final price and asked for a deposit, but didn't want to talk financing or payment until the car arrives.

How does one find out if your local dealer is low or high volume dealership
There isn't a database or listing that I am aware of.
One easy way is to check the dealer websites in your area and look at the total number of cars in each dealerships' inventory. The more cars they have, the higher their volume of sales.

oh wow, when you put a deposit down, was your car in transit, or in the beginning stages ie car just started being built?
No, I put down a deposit to place my order for one...or get on a list for one however you want to look at it.

In Canada, put my deposit down the day of the M/T announcement (April 28, 2022) was #1 on the list at my dealership. Got an allocation late March with an ETA of June 12, later delayed until July 03-07, current ETA is July 28. So still waiting with no car in hand even though there are others with later deposits and allocations that have already taken delivery ?. Toyota's allocation and delivery system is absolute crap.

Been holding out for a manual since April of 2022. After not getting a single 2023 allocation, my dealer finally let me know they got a Supra! They're getting a 2024 45th Anniversary allocation... in automatic.

Second in line still but no such luck. I wish I'd put a deposit down at more dealers, but this one promised me MSRP with none of the add-on BS so I'd thought I'd stick it out with them.

I got my car randomly through a friend who is a GSM at a Toyota dealer.

But I called A LOT of dealers and what I found out is that not every dealer gets these cars and even less of them get manuals.

It's tough but not impossible.

I've got family in the Des Moines and Council Bluffs area. So my searches have included both 500 miles out from there, and from Denver. Doing that is how I landed on an available allocation in Lincoln, NE. I'm on waiting lists in Omaha, Colorado Springs, and Salt Lake City as backups as well. All at MSRP.

Hope you get lucky and get a car soon. I'd seriously consider branching out and getting on some more lists.

Just Put my deposit down today for a 24 3.0 MT. Im third in line at my local dealer but the two allocations in front of me are both Autos. Got in writing to get the vehicle 2k above MSRP as this dealer is a high volume one and the salesperson I worked with is known for selling supras. He gave me an approx wait time of 9-12 months for renaissance red. Other colors may come in faster. Supposedly, this dealer receives plenty of allocations and told me, "we will get your allocation it's just a matter of getting your specific color and transmission choice ". I guess time will tell if that's true or not. Will keep everyone posted. Luckily for me my deposit is also refundable.
