Hey everyone, just got my new car, and slapped the JB4 on right away. The car currently has zero modifications, with the exception of the CTS turbo inlet.

My question... What maps can / should you run on a stock car?

I've heard map 2 is the best, but I've also heard that map 4 is pretty safe. Is this true, and can I run map 4 with no problems?

If I don't hear much here then I will datalog and find out. Thanks in advance!

In what way? You asked about what maps to run...The comment from Zrk literally tells you.
I’m not looking so much for what each map does. I’m looking for more of when to run certain maps. For example, if it doesn’t make sense for me to run map 4 as Jb4 is my only modification, is that safe / beneficial

Every car responds different to the JB4. Mine hated the 1 and 2 maps and was not smooth at all. This is just one of those things where you have to load in the tune, log it and see what the car is actually doing and what it is happy with.

That comment I wrote previously literally tells you exactly that.

Thank you for the response! I did get the chance to log it today and just see the differences between map 2 and 4, and map 2 just seemed more solid for me. It was boosting half a pound higher, and AFRs seemed more steady at factory 14.6. For whatever reason the computer wouldn’t let me graph it so I had to just read the numbers on a screen recording but I was surprised at how well the car responded to map 2

This is so true. On my 2021, Map 1 was meh, Map 2 was all over the place and practically surging, but Map 4 with an E30 blend absolutely slapped!

What was the one called "throttle" doing? I bet its going up and down like crazy unless you have some good fuel out your way!
