The process of filling is the same no matter what pan. You fill, then run up to temp, take fill plug out and let drain extra or add if not spilling out.

Since the torque converter, cooler, and solenoids hold fluid you never will add as much as the service manual capacity lists.

This. Fill from designated plug until it’s spilling out, done.

Anyone care to share their favorite bmw online parts supplier that ships? My local dealership wants $600 for the M3/M4 pan kit (24119504520).

Just a note, the OP of this thread (me) is the same guy you were antagonizing on the FB Track Group. Enjoy the info I shared here Professor Underglow.
? I approve the edit to this as “Professor Underglow” definitely smacks better than “pops” ?

If you call that confusing fb group exchange antagonistic, then I guess discussion isn’t something you welcome, so I’ll leave it be. I never felt the need to resort to childish namecalling, that’s for sure.

FWIW, I’ve largely enjoyed what you’ve contributed on this forum. I’ll be sure to use caution if I care to interject on any more of your posts so as to prevent you from feeling antogonized.

Man, I tried to find that thread in the mkv track group. I had just popped popcorn. Got a link?
I fact checked one of their posts and they came after me that I was saying something I didn’t. It’s all good. Some people just like to argue, it was for sure not a discussion.

I’ll let yall decide who was “fact checking”. Poor guy just felt ganged up on I guess and he didn’t care to clarify in a coherent, thoughtful manner.

Damn can’t link it.

It’s Sean Bradford’s post on August 16.
