Emblems are moving in that direction. When looking back on the Supra, it will be period correct.

Lexus is in the process of moving everything to this style emblem as well.

It is what it is.

I believe that's more BMW/Magna Steyr influence just like the BMW emblem with their 3D round dome. The FT-1 and even the GR Supra have traditional Toyota emblems.

I hear you though. The 3D domed emblems are confirming to most car manufacturers as most market trends tend to do. The Europeans have been doing it for decades (BMW, Lamborghini, Saab, Fiat) but after the change of roles, esp with the German segment, it's starting to port over to the Asian segment, KIA.

My thing is that, Toyota and even Lexus have offered fun little details to indicated this product is a little more sporty and special then the rest of the bunch; brushed aluminum, titanium, gun metal gray, black pearl for their emblems.

Based on the way some of these types are often attached if may be easy to swap it to a more traditional Toyota emblem.

I feel like you guys are just splitting hairs now. It’s an emblem. Takes zero time/money to change if you don’t like it
Exactly!

None of this will matter eventually....BMW or not, fake vents or not, spoiler or not, ugly emblem or not, etc... What will matter is MKIV’s getting mopped by MKV’s.

I must admit that at the beginning i wasn't expecting such an aggressive rear diffuser on the production model.
I thought the rear LED F1 style stop light would be taken off and the black part of the diffuser wouldnt extend to the plate.
I even believed that all the thing would be body-colored.
Its one of the good things i like on the new Supra...

Lexus is doing the Badge Emblem in the center instead of license plate too?

I never said it was wrong but in true Toyota fashion, it was all about the attention to the details, esp with the last gen Supra. Talking about splitting hairs, Toyota went with hollow fiber for the carpet and single exit exhaust just for weight savings.

The camera moved because in the race car it replaces the rear view mirror with a cam/ monitor combination and therefore has to look back in an other angle.

In the production car it's just a reversing camera.

i guess i am in the minority preferring the black-surrounds on the emblem...

the main reason is that it doesn't require a q-tip to clean :D

on my frs, i debadged, got the holes filled, then put a decal instead

Depends on the model.

Will it not include the TOYOTA label anymore on top of the Supra logo?

Seems to have been inspired by the Lexus LC500; the proportions, arrangement, and placing of logo and model name. What does that camera on top of the Lexus badge serve? Does the LC500 have rear view mirror with camera?
