Do any of you have an issue when you’re driving in traffic in manual sport where you’re in second gear, come to a stop and it stays in second?

It’s not an ‘issue’. You likely activated the 1st gear lockout.
In manual mode, at a full stop, foot on brake in 1st gear if you select second gear it will not automatically drop down to first again unless you put it there or switch back to auto mode. 2nd gear becomes the lowest gear it will put itself in for that driving ‘session’

If you're in manual mode, and you're in second, it's going to stay in second until you click down to to first.

Smoother in near stop/go creeping traffic. The B58 has plenty of torque to roll effortlessly from 1-2mph in 2nd.

When I approach stop signs I usually keep my left paddled pulled while approaching the stop as it will force the tranny to downshift to the lowest gear possible for that speed. Same if you're cruising at like 40mph and want to jump into traffic.. pull and hold the left paddle and it will jump several gears down to get you into 2nd.

Yeah, first gear is trash. Most of us drag racer's have first gear disabled completely, which actually lends to a much nicer street driving experience.

I use 1st gear all the time, it drives like... a car.

I have this problem with my car too. Stays in selected gear until I put it in a different one.
