I ran time trial in TT2 this past season with nasa car was (3320lb comp weight 520HP e30 mix, KWv3 (ok not great), stoptech str-60 front caliper, hawk dtc-70s, the car is fast only reason I built it for more is because I am crazy and want to drive up mountains. There were not many competitors in tt2 in my region but was fun driving fast mostly ttu and then tt3 and 6 cars.

exploring aftermarket ecu options for over 700hp, minus rain driving I never really found 500hp to be unmanageable with VCS off having the car trying to send me like a rocket. Want to throw a sequential 6 speed in going to see where I land though might go cheap and experiment with a junkyard zf8hp70 for now with some upgraded clutch packs since cant unlock the zf8hp51

This is a minute of 4k footage from this season at Willow Springs can watch the odometer going through Turns 5-9, I am slow in the corners but that straight line speed is nice

If you turn off the hypersmooth stablization, that annoying sea sick rocking boat thing will stop. It's super annoying to watch video like that.

What do you mean you can't unlock the zf8hp51?

So I ordered more tires, rotors & need to shop for some project mu pads to put under the tree ?

Anyone else getting track goodies for Christmas, Hanukkah or just capitalism celebration this winter?
ordered pmu about six weeks ago. Should be here by end of month. Also got Fuel-It! analyzer, jb4, SRF fluid and camber plate installs happening when son in law comes down for new years week. Getting it ready for next years track days

we haven't found a solution to remove/reset the immobilizer found in the 3rd gen 8HP transmissions (51/76), so that's what's keeping us from supporting them at the moment

You do not need a full controller to do what is needed. Most people are running too aggressive tuning for the Factory transmissions in our car anyway. We helped do a bunch of testing on the BETA before the XHP flash was released for our cars. I can send you a file if you would like. Just need to purchase a license from them. I would be happy to send over a file for you to try. DM me and I will make it happen.
My JB4 is fully off on track. Or she’ll go limp until I pull in and restart/reboot the car. Do you guys work on locked cars as well? Assuming not, just thought I’d ask.

Well, I just picked up my 3.0 1 week ago, after selling 2.0, totally stock for now...
Wanna mod it properly from the get go this time and prob will do Ă–hlins too, thats why I'm very interested how U have it setup with alignment, clicks and swaybars setup, so I'll try to mimick it if U say its great and adjust from there :)
You’re scaring me dude ? I seriously wish I knew the setup alignment craft. I’ll get the specs for sure. I’m on all SPL parts with eccentric lockouts. The only ones we haven’t put in yet are the bushings. Vorschlag tophats, Ohlins ofc, Apex square 18 wheels, Eibach sway bars, and a lot of just for fun stuff. Exhaust, intake, JB4 for street rocket ? mode, mud flaps, ppf, Ultrafit windshield film, the Verus reservoir fluid brace, diff plate, turbo heat shield, upgraded heat exchanger, Cusco underbody brace… I’m enjoying this car way too much hahaha. I’m sure there’s other things on that list. Seat with proper belts are what I’m really missing to hit my optimal times & go faster… An upgraded intake manifold would be sweet too someday.

That Verkline catalog looks pretty impressive. I’d get that lineup and find your best race team over there for setup and you’d be so far ahead of the game, imo. Tires, pad and fluids of your choice. On the top of my head, those items in bold should cover it. The upgraded coilovers would be nice too if you’re racing.

Appreciate the offer maybe if i purchase xhp license to test with but i am replacing the oem bosch ecu and tcu entirely, will have full tuning control over my engine and transmission - beyond just xhp flash - already have stage1 upgraded transmission never bothered with xhp

quite a bit involved and not a solution for anyone not ready to tear out all their oem electronics

Is this file aimed towards on-track performance of the transmission? I've been unhappy with my xHP tuning and would be open to trying a better map!

Are you asking if Xhp can flash 21+ transmissions? Yes. Completely different computer. All years can flash the TCU via Xhp.

The napkin math I did shows something like Ohlins are too low, but what Vorshlag is recommending might be too high. I know Razorlab posted his someplace, I'll have to go find it. But, just trying to get some data points and reasoning behind the numbers.
First off, avoid Vorshlag like the plague. They have no business doing anything with the MK5 Supra. Secondly, don't listen to any setup advice from them on the MK5 Supra. Thirdly, find anyone else.

Yes we focus on Track built cars. Locked cars are not the end of the world. LOL

Interesting.... What unit are you going with? I am guessing people are already trying to sell others on Motec? It is currently being developed in Australia and will take some time. The problem is the Flexray in the car. All aftermarket ECUs except the factory BOSCH motorsport stuff cannot compute fast enough for this Flexray. We have been working with people in the industry to create a Receiver and transmitter. You are talking about a long way off. Unless you are rewiring the entire car for Standalone and not caring about the factory electronics?

scs delta gdi 6 ecu w/cantcu with Aim display in dash - factory harness gets replaced none of the OEM electronics will work and will be removed including the electric power steering getting replaced with hydraulic rack

Is a custom map on a jb4 doable for track? Reading through this thread seems jb4 is a no go, but didn’t see if anyone did a custom map. I’m just an autocrosser that wants to transition to time trials.
