Made an account just for that huh?
No I've owned a Supra since the early 90s and have been following the car since 2014. The car has the specs of a base Camaro, is available as only an automatic, and is priced like a Corvette. Calling a spade a spade.

A base camaro does 0-60 in what, 5 seconds? so this car is almost a full second faster and yet you can't get past the horsepower number? you compensating for something?

Quite interesting numbers, higher weight than rumoured and less power, but faster 0-60? Not quite sure how they've managed that. Potentially underrated performance in terms of numbers maybe. Will be interesting to see what one dynos at!

Looking at specs and looks I think I'll go ahead with my reservation but just depends on price. With those specs over £50k is a hard sell.
Price is on the Toyota UK website now. Starts at £52695 for Base model and £54k for pro model. I think it's about £10k overpriced myself.

So I’ll be honest, I’m disappointed in the specs. If you rewatch the video, it has the integrated exhaust manifold. I think they are asking too much for the car for too little performance.

Who cares about 0-60 times that's all about initial traction and gearing? The car isn't particularly light, its underpowered for 2020, its available only as an automatic, and its a BMW.

Nothing,considering a Civic DX
Its hideously overpriced when a Cayman S or M2 Comp is cheaper!

AND they come as a manual for proper driving, rather than an auto.
Has more torque than one, is lighter than the other

looks like it's the base model 6 that weighs under 3300... apologies.

I had heard that was the fully loaded, but I guess that was asking too much. At least the 4cyl car will weigh less than that.

And yes, BMW engines routinely dyno their rated crank numbers at the wheels, so I'd fully expect 330whp +/-, especially given 4.1 0-60. It can also do slightly better than that 0-60 (at least it did in testing, hovering right at the 4 flat mark at production weight with low 12 1/4)
