Hey guys, as the title states I am unable to measure the oil level in my 2021 Supra. When I attempt to measure the oil level it will always fail around 16-19%. I’ve attempted this after 30-45 min drives and on a flat surface. Funny thing is that it will still notify me when the oil is low, so the sensor is working in some capacity?

I’ve inquired about this issue with one of my local Toyota dealers and they essentially told me not to worry about it. I’ve researched the forums and it seems like it’s an oil pump/sensor issue. I was wondering if I should be prepared to replace the pump/sensor? Any additionally info is appreciated.

Thanks!

Update* as suspected and mentioned before, it is the oil pump. Taking the car back once the dealer receives the part. Covered under the powertrain warranty.

As long as the dealer recorded that into their system and I wasn’t just a call
I sure hope so! I made a point to tell the service tech personally and not over the phone.
