Still waiting... How long have you been waiting for your GR Supra allocation/order/update etc.?

How long did you have to wait/have been waiting to receive your GR Supra from the dealership??

Finally secured an allocation! Placed a deposit on a Stratosphere 3.0 MT. The only problem is the car is in Detroit and I’m in Kansas City…guess there’s a road trip in my future ?
Congrats! If you do make it a road trip, consider keeping it under 4500 rpm and 100 MPH. I did for 1200 miles and it was tough to hold back.

good you may have bumped me up on the list. guessing you had a deposit down at molle? last I checked (in feb) I was number 4 on the list. what position were you in?
I am on the Molle list, I had checked with them late February and I was 6th in line. So that probably doesn’t help you much. But I was second in line at Olathe and the person in front of me was holding out for a Nocturnal 6MT specifically. So you might have better luck on that list.
Jay Wolfe has one coming in but asking $5k markup

@whycantidrive - I was on the list at Molle & Olathe (& Little Apple in Manhattan, KS) since April of 2023. Zero movement for months until I happened to see one allocated to Legends (who does not take pre-order deposit) and gave them a call and secured it. After I confirmed it was mine and placed the allocated deposit with them I promptly removed my deposit and position in line at all 3 of the other dealerships. Stay vigilant on your hunt and don't wait on the dealerships. I hope my removal on the list bumped you up!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely plan to keep the revs low for awhile. Did you do any special wrap or temporary plastic for the drive? I’ve seen some pretty extensive stuff on here, but I understand not wanting your first rock chip to be the first drive.

some people use painters tape, if you got stratosphere you could use blue painters tape

or track wrap

I did one closed transport (NC to FL) and one open transport from MD to FL. Both cars arrived in perfect condition! A road trip would have been nice however. If I would have had the time. Congrats to all y’all!

The paperwork is simple for a dealer willing to do the deal. Transport companies & buying at MSRP has an entire thread on this forum. I used Meryl at Marvel Auto transport 833-627-8351. You can PM me if you get close and I can give you her cell phone and my full name for a no BS deal.

And I’m not in the car business ? I’ve always loved cars and been doing this for years.
I’ll send you a PM once I know mine has arrived at the dealer!

I've noticed that there are a bunch of unreserved Mikan Blast Supras in Toyota's Supra search pages. White versions seem to be more popular. Now if only they had a yellow-green color in 45th edition or otherwise.
That’s how I landed on mine. White would’ve been my first choice, but I got impatient and started looking at the Mikan Blast. Put my first (and only) refundable deposit in Apr. 2023 for a 2023 3.0 Premium in Absolute Zero 8-speed. Reached out to several dealerships in NC, GA, VA, and MD; only one in NC (the first one) asked for a refundable deposit. All of them wanted a $5K to $10K premium (regardless of whether they had one on hand or not) on any 45th Anniversary but said they wouldn’t on a regular 3.0 Premium. I continued to use the Toyota inventory search tool and just put in random zip codes out to the max radius. Found a dealer in MS who agreed to sell a 45th at MSRP that’s en route with a $500 doc fee if I would finance through Toyota Capital. The non-refundable deposit was placed yesterday!

Congrats! You will definitely love the car. I always come up with a reason to drive my 45th. It's rare enough to be like an exotic that is almost never seen on the roads.

I waited a week or two before spending $3500 on STEK PPF. Only the roof and back of the car are not covered.

I did the whole thing. Didn’t intend to but the installer (now friend) liked the car so much, he’s been using it a test mule for new products. In return, he asked if I didn’t mind being on his website. I said yes as fast as I could get the answer from brain ? to mouth ?. He’s gotten more hits on his website from the Supra over Lambos, Porsches, Vetts, you name it - his social media web person claims. High end trucks came in second, oddly enough…. I’ve got a windshield film on currently for tracking. Cracked too many of them. Another brand film coming next season. The manufactures fly out and use him for many products. Dude is a detail freak! It’s an art for sure.

Checked in on my allocation yesterday as it has been at port since February 13th. Dealer is saying that the hold up has something to do with no struts being available. Has anyone else heard of this?

I wrapped the whole front of my car in temporary PPF for the 500+ mile drive home. A little cleanup involved after the fact, but zero rock chips.

What luck! I would've had to pay over $5k to have the whole car done. I did have the side skirts done in carbon fiber to match the mirror caps. Would you recommend the windshield film for street use? Also, does the film adversely affect the windshield wiper motion at all?

No. It’s for track use only. I don’t mind it. Sure beats buying new windshields. But if you look close enough, you can tell. And you are suppose to clean it with waterless wash. Using the wipers as little as possible.
