If I use the cigarette lighter fuse then can I not use the cigarette lighters for anything else? I'm using it to fast change my phone. Wondering if both would work at the same time without issues.

I don't recommend trying to split use of the cigarette lighter power supply. And you won't have parking mode using that for a power source - it requires wiring the camera to their backup battery.

The battery powers the camera constantly. I need to hardwire the battery to some fuse so that the battery charges when the car is on.

Finally got around to doing this after a year. Went way better than I expected. The blackboxmycar powercell 8 fits perfectly in the location shown in this guide.

You mind taking a picture of that? My powercell 8 definitely would’ve been a tight fit by the battery.

I tried leaving a gap underneath for the cables there but it’s a tight squeeze.

Thanks! I thought about it there but was real tight and seemed to put a lot of stress on the power cable.

Ended putting the battery in the foam by fuse box like someone else mentioned.

Ah okay. I might move it because I am scared of damaging that wire
