I broke the sensor apparently putting in the KW it happens, car has all nannies off (No ABS, VCS) not really a problem though

The problem is the car will automatically shift when under 45mph even when in manual mode ... cannot drive like a gremlin and bang first and second gears

I know the solution is replacing the sensor just kind of putting this out as an FYI

There is also 3 (CEL, ABS, STability control) lights on the dash and all these toyota contact warnings on the center console I need to click away from every single time I start the car they are super annoying

Part # 89516-WAA03

My front Passenger wheel speed sensor went bad after 6months of ownership 8k miles. The whole car was in limp mode and couldn't accerleate pass 45mph. Dashboard was lit up like a xmas tree, the touch screen even showed drivterain malfunction. It was a quick easy fix once they replaced the part.

It is the passenger front on mine as well ... just a coincidence?

Maybe I could attempt the dealer to warranty it but they will look at my car and just give me problems

Mine just went out on it's own. At the time My car was parked out in the cold for a few days and decided to drive it and noticed the issue. They figured/troubleshoot it out by switching the wheel speed sensors to the other side. I warrantied mine but at the time I did not have JB4 or downpipe installed. I can't remember the part number but it wasn't terribly expensive or hard to replace. I just don't know if things have to be reprogrammed with their own software but I doubt it.

I just needed to replace the sensor and it was fine when I started the car, reset the cel and did not come back

Sensor appeared to be undamaged but was broken

Nice, mine was replaced back in January 2021 at the time 8k miles and 7months of ownership. The part from what i remembered wasn't expensive but it was warrantied.

I think this is my current problem. I got a handful of codes after I replaced my axles. Clear all except two with ecutek.
Car is in limp mode.

If this is the solution, does anyone have part numbers to replace both rears?

Awesome!!

They look like a major PITA to change. At least Iā€™m on the right track now

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm just about to change my rear sensor too. Was it a pita? Any tips?

How difficult was it changing your wheel speed sensor? My rear left goes out intermittently
It was incredibly easy. One bolt like razorlab highlighted above. With the tire off it was a two minute job.
