Options/trans/trim? Hard to say if 57k is a good deal without knowing more

Just bought a '24 Stratosphere with 6spd in the DMV-ish area, and here was my experience with calling around

Jerrys Toyota in Baltimore said there was a markup, but would not share unless I came in (not really ideal with an hr drive each way)

355 Toyota of Darcars Rockville was hesitant to share any numbers, but ultimately said 2k over MSRP, then reduced to 1k over MSRP and held firm .

I've heard a lot of bad things about Jerry's like look at their review service, sales, anything seems to be horrible. I called them and was explaining how I was in the market and had chunk to put down and they seem frustrated to even tell me details. Two of the cars on their site was in production stage and one already had an allocation on it so they were using them to get people in

I ended up getting mine at Younger Toyota in Hagerstown, MD under sticker, I was looking into manuals, but most had markup except for two but I wanted white plus was liking how the Auto felt so I couldn't pass up the deal. I know they had sold a white manual like a day or two before I got mine.

But mine is a 2024 Premium 3.0 for $58,240 when window sticker was $60,905.

Their Mitsubishi lot next door had another '24 white one same thing except carbon mirrors and had 4,400 miles on it but they want like $62k which didn't make sense but I wasn't going to ask questions.

I completely forgot about the dealer in Hagerstown, but on Toyota's site, it didnt come up with inventory on a manual. But I do occasionally pick up oil filters from there when I need them.

Jerrys was same for me, no info until I would come in, but was told to expect 'a markup'. Glad i didnt make the drive.

I wanted to add my .2 cents on my experience. It’s been a lifelong dream to buy a new manual supra from the dealer. I was only 7 when my 1994 was made lol so I never got to.

I spent 18 months trying to get a car with multiple refundable deposits in the my state. Over 14 months not one got a single manual supra, and 1 got an auto. I wanted a blue MT and no other.

After 14 months I gave up waiting and tracked the supra inventory system daily. In February the newest batch of MTs seemed to of dropped on the Inventory system. I saw the one I wanted but was hesitant to call in and inquiry. It was 600 miles away in Idaho falls coming in to Teton Toyota. I said fuck it and called anyways.

So I called and of course had the 3 main questions

First, do you have a list for incoming supras and is it pre sold? “no one on any list right now and it’s an available car”

Second, do you have markups? “We don’t do markups and msrp or less”

Third, will you sell it to an out of state buyer? “Ya we have no issue with that”

With the trifecta of questions leaning to my good graces, I immediately reserved the car and the vin!

it had an arrival of April then may and they were so kind at Teton Toyota the entire time, keeping me up to date and letting me pester them with questions and updates.

Unfortunately to no fault of their own the car was delayed on hold by Toyota In May. Luckily that last only 1 month! Which worked out well because I had my newborn in mid may and it would have conflicted with the original pickup. I consider this fate.

Once the car arrived they let me know and I was headed up with my truck and trailer to get it. Easy 600 mile one way drive and honestly beautiful scenery through the Tetons. I arrived an hour before closing and the car was ready to view and sign for. They held it for the night inside safe while recommending us to a great steakhouse for dinner. Picked It up in the morning and headed home

I was ecstatic for the car and Kylie my sales lady even surprised me with a Toyota onesie for my newborn as a personal gift. They helped me fulfil a dream and made it personal and it was so kind of them. It was by far the best dealer experience I’ve ever had.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Toyota from Kylie at Teton Toyota in Idaho falls.

I don't know if it was mentioned in the thread previously, but I just bought a manual Supra in stratosphere blue from Lakeside Toyota in New Orleans. No ADM, 62k sticker price. They let me talk to the master mechanic who had the certification from Japan and I had a 30 minute long conversation with him. They had experience working on modified cars and gave me some grounded advice on how to go about it. Would recommend. Whenever you get a service done at a dealer with a rare enthusiast car like the Supra, it is always a huge green flag when they are willing to do that. You should always try to get to know the guy working on your car. And Lakeside Toyota was very friendly to car enthusiasts like me, and they seemed used to people like me asking more technical questions and knew right away to direct me to the master mechanic.

I mentioned this in another thread, but our local Toyota dealer in Hawaii has 32 Supras in stock. All at MSRP or below. Seems to be a buyers market now. I had to wait 9 months for mine when I bought it last year. It's amazing what difference one year can make. I'm curious if it's like that across the country or if it's just here. I can't imagine how they're going to sell them all.
