My Supra currently has a DP with BM3 stage 2. I was wondering if anyone had purchased the Continentals Extreme Contact after running the pilot sport 4s. If so, did you feel a difference as far as grip and acceleration? it’s time to change tires and was thinking of getting the Continentals over the Michelin. Thanks

I'm going to assume you're referring to the Continental ECS02 (vs the ECF) I have almost apples to apples comparison of what you are looking for. A Michelin PS4S and a Conti ECS02 are VERY similar tires. Noise level, ride, overall grip, ability in the rain. I can't speak to longevity, as I trashed both tires and replaced them before they were truly worn out.

I feel like the Michelins "feel" better - they are more responsive and talk back to the driver a bit better, but the Contis may have a little bit more ultimate grip.

Curious as to whether or not the EC02 are more “stretched” like the PS4S or more square? Thanks

I ran a 275/35/18 ECS02 on an 18x10.5 and it didn't seem stretched. Sidewalls were pretty square with the edge of the rim.

The PS4S was on another car (Cayman), and I don't remember the fitment.

went from 305/30/19 ps4s to 295/35/19 ecs02 on te37 track edition 2 which has slightly less offset/sticks out more. on e50/dp/tune

ps4s felt more responsive on cornering/turns/firmer
stuck out a bit with 1.2 camber

ecs02 felt more soft/mushy but more traction for sure straight line
likes this fitment more for me

Get the conti sport 02. Way cheaper than mpss, they cured my 1st gear wheel hop, last longer on track and they seem quieter on the highways. Also, could be a coincidence but my stock Mpss tires got 4 nails/screws in them and Contis haven’t had a flat yet. I think the sidewall looks cooler too.

These are for the Pilot Sport 4S not the Super Sports. Super sports are super outdated and really just not that great of a tire anymore whereas the PS4S are actually really great tires but you're going to pay for them
