What are you asking here? Carplay and dashcams are two separate things.

Yes they are. But if the device uses wifi directly, then I want to be sure carplay works (it uses both) too

Like at the same time? Only time you would connect to a dashcam via WIFI is to view/download recorded video or change settings, and hopefully you aren't driving when doing that.

@project671 Have you had any issues with it staying on and not powering off and or draining your battery? Where does it grab power from? Had a power drain issue when tapping into the mirror with the Dongar Tech plug and play adapter.

At this point I’ve had it installed for less than 24 hours. But ops checking it, it looks to power down completely when the car is shut off. I believe it taps into the rain sensor. I’ll update if I notice any power drain.

Installed it. Theoretically simple, but closing the thing at the end is a pain in the ass. However, its the most OEM dash cam I’ve ever installed and would do it again.

i have one as well. fit is perfect. looks oem. works as a dashcam. doesnt interfere with motor oil.
