It is evidently clear that BMW Bimmer Code does not support Toyota America or it's dealerships through one email with their Lead Software Developer.
My dealer was so perplexed when they saw my car (I was stupid enough to hand over the key to the valet who surprisingly asked “Is that a Supra?”). I then patiently waited to get my keys back while I was praying in the waiting area they could find them. That process alone took about 30 minutes just to find out the appointment I made for a “Supra tech” that they didn’t have that day ?‍? Thank gawd…. They asked me a few questions about the “Supra” (I didn’t have the heart to tell them it’s a BMW ?) and I got my keys & never came back.

BMW won't honor packages I purchased at Toyota even though it is under the same Franschise of Dealership. I am going to potentially open a legal case against this franchise of dealership.
Dude, you really have to slow down. I know, even though I’ve only posted a few times on here.

What to do after you post: 1) go read another thread 2) make coffee, have some breakfast 3) this gives people time to respond 4) then you go back and carefully read all the responses before you post again

You could but that would likely expend a lot of time and energy, that could be spent on fixing your car.

Do you know of any other ways for corporations to do their job? I can only think of legal action.
I am only stating facts on this thread for other people to view, I have already ate my breakfast and coffee. I am ready to go brotha. NO ADHD, PTSD, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION here I am actually a survior of those things. 100% Motivated for Good Proper Change.

I get it man but…. You still didn’t wait long enough for people to respond on a forum thread. I can barely keep up with you. There is an edit button. Try that and stick to the same post (see I just did that).

Now back to this question above ☝ “Do you know of any other ways for corporations to do their jobs?” No not really. There are threads on here where you can watch Toyota service techs take a quick online course or even a whole day somewhere to learn everything about BMWs, that my real BMW mechanic has spent years doing. You see the flaw there. That time cannot be made up imo.

I‘m sorry what happened to you. Most of us get it. What you need to do is ask them to kindly reset the car back or try it again. Or get your keys back (like I did) and find an independent BMW mechanic that will serve you much better.

Definently need to work on my patience skills, Just want good changes done now because no one will bring up the issue to toyota superiors because they are afraid of authority.
For personal and professional advice I recommend you take a look at the agile methodolgie involved with software development, a lot of it applys to improving efficiecys throughout business and can even be applied in personal life.

Not the issue, for me & most of us. Depends on what you want to do. Be a justice warrior or get your car fixed. Fixing my car would be my 1st priority. Then in my spare time, I could try to fix the “system” but I doubt I’d tackle the entire problem of the fact this is a BMW and it comes from a different car company.

I bet you’ll feel better once you get your car back to stock. They can likely do that. If not, hire someone else to do it. Then look into all the other issues you’ve brought up. My best two cents ✌?

I purchased my vehicle from a Toyota Dealership, I don't know about you. Personally I think BMW still supports Toyota however Toyota Leadership does not care about the customer which is US. Basically stating that Business leaders and executives are so far removed from the customer they cannot see our wants and needs, its ultimately a failure of communication from Toyota Employees. I am also glad I purchased this vehicle it is the best car I have owned in my life. I made the decision to purchase the protection plans at the dealer like many of us do and I am coming to realization that I am going to ask for a refund.

Not about caring. When you look at what percentage of all the vehicles they sell are BMWs, I bet it’s small. Another thread says Toyota is up to 25k of these have been made. This is such a small fraction. Yes it was poorly rolled out to the dealers. Perhaps they could have used BMW, who knows. But I’m glad they made this budget BMW because I wasn’t going to use the dealer anyway. Besides my three ”free” oil changes. I quickly gave up on that ?

I had the update done at my local Toyota dealer on a 2021 Supra 3.0 and it bricked the navigation radio. Toyota tech line in consultation with BMW tried numerous reset and reprogramming procedures to no avail and now advise the navigation radio must be replaced. Crossing my fingers that when the new radio is installed and coded with ISTA to the car that it isn;t bricked again. Car is completely stock.

I’ve done the updates with no issues…

Also, did you see if the dealer could fix your issues after you started having issues with navigation and TPMS?
I am scheduled to go have this Update done on Wednesday of next week. Anything more you can share with me?

Reading through this thread, he should probably skip the coffee
