So are the duty #s global for when I switch to another map they all use the same?
Yes, they are global but FF is saved per map. This map 6 is closer to Map 2 than Map 1.

If you go E25, I would stick with Map 6 and start kicking up the boost targets for 4500+. Putting ethanol in makes it harder to run a lot of boost down low (high trims), but lets you run more boost up top (cleaner timing)

Oh, i'm definitely in this thread. Thanks soo much for contributing this. I've been running/learning the car on Map 1. here in Albuquerque, at the pump, best you can get is Chevron 91. It feels solid from a dig, or from a roll... although when driving in "normal' mode, i do get a bit more of the drone sound (louder).
mods:
MST cai
FTP chargepipe
CTS (catless) DP
HKS full Exh

on Freeway, from 75 roll, stomp the pedal and it'll climb 130+ quickly.
Nice, feel free to post a log. Remember that catless cars need duty bias and FF adjustments to have proper boost control.

this is a good baseline:
FF = 35

Thank you soo much. learning as i go here. So i jumped in and managed to get the duty bias to these settings as well as the FF = 35...

but when i look at display, it shows FF=50

(I also set boost psi = 23)

did a few fly bys in the Neighborhood. throttle IS much more responsive. It even feels smoother shifting, that Boost comes on strong on Map 1.

I've done this 3x while in Map 1... Display still reflects 50
Yep I misunderstood. Your gage FF is the actual parameter being fed thru the JB4 EWG connection. FF(wg adaption) under user adjustment is a Gain variable for the FF parameter shown in your gage. So related, but not the same.

50 on your gage means it is inactive, which is almost always is when not under moderate to heavy load.

oh, ok. i see, so when i have car under heavy load, take a glance at FF and see if it changes on the Display.

Don't bother looking at it while driving, it won't make any sense. Just look at it in a log after a pull. Plenty of examples in this thread too. Only things worth having on the gage are boost, afr, trims, rpm, etc. If you want any wastegate stuff on the gage, WGDC would make more sense since that is the actual value.

Here is the latest log with the latest settings you listed.
https://datazap.me/u/sterrace/map6-rev2?log=0&data=1-3-4-6-20

So I noticed that the boost level fluctuates between pulls, 1-4 psi at the same RPM, is that the JB4 doing that or is that just inherent with the supra platform?

Cool, I will update those and log again. So are the duty #s global for when I switch to another map they all use the same? Or does each map keep it's own duty #s?

I noticed that the boost on this map6 is similar to map1, is that correct? I am planning on putting in some E to get to E25, would I be able to run map2 boost with that to help with the timing?

Thanks again!

So this seems weird. I had to disconnect the JB4 as I had to bring the car into the dealer for them to finally activate the map navigation. So I reinstalled the JB4 and went to do drive it around and do some pulls with the latest map6. Doesn't this look to be boosting high? Is there weirdness that happens when disconnecting a JB4 and then reconnecting it a day later? Does anything have to be reset? I disconnected the battery for a few just in case lol. I didnt do a full pull to redline as it just felt weird as I was doing the pulls. The timing seems to be very low too. At the end is Map0 pulls, that boost seems high too?

It seems to be happy now. Not sure what was up with that crazyness earlier. So along with FF at 40 I mixed in some E85.. Prob a mix of E22 or so now. The timing is much happier for sure. The trims though are hitting low 40s 3200-4500 rpm or so. AFRs seem OK.

Yeah all the pulls look great.

you can try turning up the boost some on map 6 now that you have ethanol

Awesome, I will update the boost. At what point do I have to worry about the trims? if they stay in the 40s for how long?

Try to keep trims under 45. If it is 45+ for multiple datapoints, you are not leaving yourself enough headroom.
