Winter time for some/most (me)
Well, with snow, yes, the Supra gets pampered. lol

I had an all wheel drive GTX Eclipse and loved the performance. In the snow, it was superb.

I had to have the engine replaced though. I used a K&N filter for some time and that screwed the engine. The mechanic I used, as the engine got worse and worse, showed me the wear and issues and said the filter allowed a lot of particles to get by, even though he could tell I had oiled the filter correctly. He also raced cars and said he would never use that filter. I contacted K&N and with proof, even with that, they would do nothing and offered no explanation. They just wanted to cut and run.

Anyway, I use the OEM air filter on the Supra. Great vehicle!

States that posting has taken a dive here, then proceeds to post about an Eclipse GSX in a "What did you do to your Supra today" thread.

Posting in regards to discussing in general.

In other words, I would not use a K&N filter in my Supra, ever! I wish someone had warned me!

Posting seems to have really taken a dive on all threads here.
That’s mostly because we are sick and tired of repeating ourselves about:

1) What oil to use
2) Tires for the OEM wheels
3) The break-in period
4) Corvettes
5) What exhaust do I get?
6) What color do I get?
7) What spoiler do I get?

and so on and so forth…

I understand. I thought in general, there would be more observations of just discussions.

Must be the winter, I don't see many, well none, on the road here but even in the summer only 1 or 2 local, besides mine.

I have seen a number of Corvettes. LOL

What oil should we use though? Can I use Long Life+ rated air in my OEM tires?

Bought Drive Shaft Shop Axles and Carbon Fiber Driveshaft - still have to figure out my trans issue, but I got them on a great deal - almost 1k less together!

Why are you taking off the caliper bolts to change the brake pads?

Also, OEM caliper bolts are cheaper. BMW #34106864424
By changing the rotors as well. I did buy the Toyota/BMW ones 1st. Delay in getting here (still waiting) & overkill while shopping online led me to those. So I bought em ? You never know, I might be faster now ?

You’re right. That’s why I thought the caliper bolts would have really spiced things up!

I don’t take them off, lol. But frequently loosening and tightening them back up, do they wear over time? I did buy the Toyota/BMW ones 1st. Delay in getting here (still waiting) & overkill while shopping online led me to those. So I bought em ? You never know, I might be faster now ?
Why are you loosening the caliper bolts at all for a brake pad change?
