Stuck my hand under the driver's seat and found one of these.

Does anyone know where it goes and how I get it back there - Looks like some sort of cable management?

Yeah looks like it's to support a BMW head unit. Doesn't look like it's for the Z4 though.

Perhaps it's not even from your car? Even if it was from your car, how the hell would it get from behind your dash to under your seat?

Did it fall under there at the factory?

Upgraded the exhaust today. HKS Super Turbo - Urban Matte Edition. I know for many in the US this is considered a 'quiet' exhaust, but the Australian spec mufflers that come stock are super quiet so this is quite a step up. Differences between stock AU spec and this for anyone who might be considering it,
  • Deeper tone, less 'airy'.
  • About 10% - 15% louder over AU spec
  • More burbles, or at least they are more noticeable. Especially at low speeds around carparks etc. Any throttle lift above 3k rpm delivers a decent rumble. Can actually get a bit annoying as it's so frequent at low speeds but disabling sport mode removes them completely.
  • Slightly larger tips
The craftsmanship on these HKS exhausts is fantastic and those tips are possibly some of the classiest I've seen.

Something to note: there are slightly different part numbers depending on if you have an auto or MT. Not sure why, perhaps something to do with the JASMA certification that's specific to each of the different vehicle types.

I did have an MMI installed a months ago so it could've plausibly come out of the dash then.. assuming it is a part that actually comes on our cars? Or maybe someone in Austria had a few too many beers that day? ?‍♂

Does anyone know if part number 65129158460 is actually a Supra part?

Today wife is driving at Sebring. I drove Friday (pics below - less people that day) & Saturday. Cool VIP & press rooms upstairs. Including fully active SIM room.

Car has been hibernating in the garage for about 2 months, but today I installed M-style caps while it snowed outside. Ran into the common (?) problem where one of the mirrors wouldn’t adjust afterward. Thanks to this forum, found the fix pretty quickly - thanks!

Looks great, but the huge plastic thing below the bumper is… off putting… Can that be replaced with something more appealing?

Autocrossed it (yesterday).

I just watched this and realized where this was. I got banned years ago from Martin Sports Car Club at this location for my s2000 having too loud of an exhaust (it was loud but not as loud as some of the officials there who didn't get in trouble). Its a terribly shaped and size venue but there aren't many others in the area. Especially since they took DeLand away from everyone.

Did they have a noise meter or was it just an arbitrary decision?

Db meter but wouldn't show me. So they said I had to go. There were 2 other cars much louder than mine. I remember one of them being an old MR2. Oh well. I never did another autox again and started tracking. Quite happy it all went that way!
